Quasi-Static and High Strain Rates
AbstractCylindrical samples of a 0/90° cross-ply Nextel 610™/Al-6061 (∼55Vf%) metal matrix composite have been subjected to compression testing at quasi-static and high strain rates over a range of angles between 0° and ±45° with respect to the principal fiber directions.

Loss of AMBRA1 activates MAPK and angiogenesis signaling pathways in melanoma cells
Loss of AMBRA1 in melanoma cells activates multiple oncogenic pathways associated with tumor progression. Transcriptomic and protein network analyses revealed that AMBRA1 depletion enhances MAPK/ERK signaling, angiogenesis, TGF‐β/EMT signaling, and Wnt/axon guidance pathways.

High strain rate superplasticity in ultrafine-grained Ti-4.5Al–3V–2Mo–2Fe alloy
High strain rate superplasticity (≥1 × 10−2 s−1) has been widely reported in low-melting-point materials such as aluminum and magnesium alloys, but remains underdeveloped in high-melting-point materials, particularly titanium alloys.

Pathways and pitfalls: a qualitative study of student experiences in biomedical science education
Biomedical science students from underrepresented backgrounds face barriers including financial strain, disrupted laboratory access and cultural exclusion. Peer networks provide vital support when institutional systems are difficult to navigate. To create inclusive learning environments and achieve academic success, educators should blend active, hands‐

Effect of microstructure on anomalous strain-rate-dependent behaviour of bacterial cellulose hydrogel [PDF]
This study is focused on anomalous strain-rate-dependent behaviour of bacterial cellulose (BC) hydrogel that can be strain-rate insensitive, hardening, softening, or strain-rate insensitive in various ranges of strain rate.

Energy absorption at high strain rate of glass fiber reinforced mortars
In this paper, the dynamic behaviour of cement mortars reinforced with glass fibers was studied. The influence of the addition of glass fibers on energy absorption and tensile strength at high strain-rate was investigated. Static tests in compression, in

This systematic review synthesizes prognostic models for survival and recurrence in resected non‐small cell lung cancer. While many models demonstrate moderate to good discrimination, few are externally validated and reporting quality is variable, limiting clinical applicability and highlighting the need for robust, transparent model development ...
