Design of high torque density motors for quadruped robot hip joints
In response to the high torque density performance requirements for the hip joints of quadruped robots, an analytical design method for permanent magnet synchronous motors with the goal of increasing motor torque density is proposed in this study. A high

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

A High Torque Density Halbach Rotor Coaxial Magnetic Gear
This paper presents the design, analysis, and experimental testing results for a 5.67:1 Halbach rotor magnetic gearbox with a ferromagnetic back support. Using 3-D finite element analysis software the Halbach magnetic gearbox was calculated to achieve a volumetric torque density of 284N.m/L with only an active region outer diameter of 120mm.

Global Calculations of Density Waves and Gap Formation in Protoplanetary Disks using a Moving Mesh
We calculate the global quasi-steady state of a thin disk perturbed by a low-mass protoplanet orbiting at a fixed radius using extremely high-resolution numerical integrations of Euler's equations in two dimensions. The calculations are carried out using

Spin-torque efficiency enhanced by Rashba spin splitting in three dimensions
We examine a spin torque induced by the Rashba spin-orbit coupling in three dimensions within the Boltzmann transport theory. We analytically calculate the spin torque and show how its behavior is related with the spin topology in the Fermi surfaces by ...

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Recent developments in planet migration theory
Planetary migration is the process by which a forming planet undergoes a drift of its semi-major axis caused by the tidal interaction with its parent protoplanetary disc.
