Modelling of continuous low‐temperature emulsion co‐polymerization in 3D‐printed reactor
A kinetic model for the emulsion copolymerization of butyl acrylate/styrene at low temperatures is proposed and validated against experiments with a redox initiator system. The model was successfully transferred to a 3D‐printed tubular reactor and conversions of more than 80% and small particles sizes below 40 nm were observed.

Freeze-out Conditions from Lattice QCD
We describe a procedure for determination of freeze-out parameters of heavy-ion collisions through direct comparisons between experimentally measured higher order cumulants of charge fluctuations and first principle (lattice) QCD calculations.Comment ...

Monte Carlo Study of Pure-Phase Cumulants of 2D q-State Potts Models [PDF]
We performed Monte Carlo simulations of the two-dimensional q-state Potts model with q=10, 15, and 20 to study the energy and magnetization cumulants in the ordered and disordered phase at the first-order transition point $\beta_t$.

ABSTRACT Purpose Diffusion MRI probes tissue microstructure, but low SNR and limited resolution hinder detection of features and parameter estimates. We introduce slice excitation with random overlap (SERO), which enables variable repetition times (TRs) and diffusion weighting within a single shot.

ABSTRACT Purpose We aim to inform the design of new diffusion MRI (dMRI) approaches for microvasculature quantification that enhance the biological specificity of imaging towards cancer. Methods We adopted simulation‐informed modelling of the vascular dMRI signal. We synthesised signals from 1500 synthetic vascular networks, for a variety of protocols (

Sample Variance of the Higher-Order Cumulants of Cosmic Density and Velocity Fields
If primordial fluctuation is Gaussian distributed, higher-order cumulants of the cosmic fields reflect nonlinear mode coupling and provide useful information of gravitational instability picture of structure formation.

Polyion complex micelles composed of blends of ABA and AB block copolymers can form coacervates with a hexagonally packed cylinder nanostructure after heating. The resulting coacervates can release the micelles under physiological conditions in a zero‐order kinetics, possessing cargo proteins.

Specification Tests for Jump‐Diffusion Models Based on the Characteristic Function
Summary Goodness‐of‐fit tests are suggested for several popular jump‐diffusion processes. The suggested test statistics utilise the marginal characteristic function of the model and its L2‐type discrepancy from an empirical counterpart. Model parameters are estimated either by minimising the aforementioned L2‐type discrepancy or by maximum likelihood ...

Genus expansion for real Wishart matrices
We present an exact formula for moments and cumulants of several real compound Wishart matrices in terms of an Euler characteristic expansion, similar to the genus expansion for complex random matrices.
