Survival by Race and Ethnicity in Children and Adolescents/Young Adults With Relapsed/Refractory Hodgkin Lymphoma: A Pooled Analysis of Children's Oncology Group Trials

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Despite 5‐year survival rates of over 90% among children and adolescents/young adults (CAYAs) with classic Hodgkin lymphoma (cHL), 15%–20% relapse after frontline therapy. Prior analysis of frontline Children's Oncology Group (COG) clinical trials demonstrated that, despite similar rates of relapse, non‐Hispanic Black (NHB) and ...

Higher Categories

open access: yes
Invited contribution to the Encyclopedia of Mathematical Physics. We give an introduction to the homotopical theory of higher categories, focused on motivating the definitions of the basic objects, namely $\infty$-categories and $(\infty,n)$-categories.

Framed Polytopes and Higher Categories

open access: yes
In the early 1990s, Kapranov and Voevodsky proposed a geometric method for constructing higher-categorical pasting diagrams from generically framed convex polytopes. This work revisits their construction and identifies a convex-geometric condition that is both necessary and sufficient for the procedure to yield a well-defined pasting diagram.

The Relationship Between Physical Activity and Left Ventricular Remodeling in Childhood Cancer Survivors Treated With Anthracyclines: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Anthracycline‐related cardiac remodeling precedes heart failure in childhood cancer survivors. The objectives of this study were to determine the relationships between patient‐specific factors, moderate‐to‐vigorous physical activity (MVPA), and cardiac remodeling.

Condensations in higher categories

open access: yes, 2019
We present a higher-categorical generalization of the "Karoubi envelope" construction from ordinary category theory, and prove that, like the ordinary Karoubi envelope, our higher Karoubi envelope is the closure for absolute limits. Our construction replaces the idempotents in the ordinary version with a notion that we call "condensations." The name is

Childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia Survival in Western Kenya: Reduction in Early Deaths and Treatment Abandonment

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background An earlier study on children diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH) in Kenya reported a low event‐free survival (EFS), excess treatment abandonment, and high induction mortality.

Higher homotopy categories, higher derivators, and K-theory

open access: yesForum of Mathematics, Sigma, 2022
Abstract For every $\infty $ -category $\mathscr {C}$ , there is a homotopy n-category $\mathrm {h}_n \mathscr {C}$ and a canonical functor $\gamma _n \colon \mathscr {C} \to \mathrm {h}_n \mathscr {C}$ .

Misperception of Body Weight After Childhood Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Misperception of body weight can negatively impact the weight management efforts of childhood cancer survivors (CCSs). Both being overweight or underweight are associated with chronic health conditions commonly observed in CCS; therefore, accurate weight perception is critical for reducing long‐term health risks.

The higher mapping cone axiom

open access: yesOpen Mathematics
The aim of the article is to better understand the higher octahedral axiom of nn-angulated categories. We discuss several possible additional axioms for pre-nn-angulated categories and prove that they are all equivalent to the higher octahedral axiom.
