Bosonization on a lattice: The emergence of the higher harmonics [PDF]
A general and transparent procedure to bosonize fermions placed on a lattice is presented. Harmonics higher than $k_F$ are shown to appear in the one-paticle Green function, due to the compact character of real electron bands. Quantitative estimations of the role of these higher harmonics are made possible by the bosonization technique presented here.

Superresonant Radiation Stimulated by Higher Harmonics [PDF]
Solitons propagating in media with higher order dispersion will shed radiation known as dispersive wave or resonant radiation, with applications in frequency broadening, deep UV sources for spectroscopy or simply fundamental studies of soliton physics. Starting from a recently proposed equation that models the behaviour of ultrashort optical pulses in ...

Methodology for Asynchronous Motor Impedance Measurement by Using Higher Order Harmonics
The control methods of asynchronous motors have changed during past decades. In the past, asynchronous motors were connected to grid directly. Later, thyristors as switching element-based frequency converters for asynchronous motors have appeared. Today,

Irregular Orbits Generate Higher Harmonics [PDF]
The spectrum of higher harmonics in atoms calculated with a uniformized semiclassical propagator is presented and it is shown that higher harmonic generation is an interference phenomenon which can be described semiclassically. This can be concluded from the good agreement with the quantum spectrum.

Optimal location and sizing of capacitor banks in distribution networks to reduce harmonic distortion and improve voltage profile using genetic algorithm [PDF]
This paper considers the problem of determination of optimum locations and sizes of capacitor banks (CB) for reactive power compensation in distribution systems to reduce harmonic distortion and improve voltage profile.
