Fracture criterion based on the higher-order asymptotic fields [PDF]
A complete development for the higher-order asymptotic solutions of the crack tip fields and finite element calculations for mode I loading of hardening materials in plane strain are performed.

HISTORICAL AND TOPOGRAPHIC MODELING THE FIRST SIEGE OF THE ALBAZINSKY PRISON. II
This material is the second part in a series of articles describing the first siege of the state-owned Albaza prison in June 1685. The paper presents a description of the numerical number and composition of artillery of the ground forces and warships of ...

Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

Recurrent higher order neural observers for anaerobic processes
In this chapter we propose the design of a discrete-time neural observer which requires no prior knowledge of the model of an anaerobic process, for estimate biomass, substrate and inorganic carbon which are variables difficult to measure and very ...

HISTORICAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL MODELING OF THE ALBAZIN FORT DURING THE SECOND SIEGE. III
In previous works, the authors presented 3D models of artillery bastions, a powder magazine and dugouts. However, for the most complete three-dimensional visualization of the Albaza fortress, it was necessary to develop three–dimensional models of its ...

PARP inhibitors induce a senescence phenotype in non‐small cell lung carcinoma cell lines
Talazoparib is the most potent inducer of senescence among different PARP1 inhibitors in human NSCLC cells. In the absence of PARP, no senescence phenotype was observed, demonstrating that PARP1 is necessary for the induction of senescence by this inhibitor.

HISTORICAL AND TOPOGRAPHIC MODELING OF THE FIRST SIEGE OF THE ALBAZINSKY PRISON IN 1685. I
This work opens a series of articles, and is its first part, describing the first siege of the state Albazinsky prison that took place in June 1685. Although the siege itself did not last long in terms of duration, the available data from this event ...

Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...
