Chern-Simons matter theories and higher spin gravity [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We compute the parity violating three point amplitudes with one scalar leg in higher spin gravity and compare results with those of Chern-Simons matter theories. The three-point correlators of the free boson, free fermion, critical vector model and Gross-Neveu model are reproduced including the dependence on the Chern-Simons coupling. We also perform a

Higgs mechanism for gravity. II. Higher spin connections [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2006
We continue the work of [Phys. Rev. D 72, 024001 (2005)] in which gravity is considered as the Goldstone realization of a spontaneously broken diffeomorphism group. We complete the discussion of the coset space $\mathrm{Diff}\text{ }(d,\mathbb{R})/SO(1,d\ensuremath{-}1)$ formed by the $d$-dimensional group of analytic diffeomorphisms and the Lorentz ...

Higher spin fields and gravity

open access: yesZeitschrift für Physik C Particles and Fields, 1988
We analyze the coupling to gravity of massless bosonic gauge fields of any spin starting from a free theory formulated in terms of a nilpotent BRST operator.

Bilinear Fronsdal currents in the AdS4 higher-spin theory

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We analyse higher-spin theory with general coupling constant η at the second order, focusing on the gauge non-invariant vertices Υ(ω, ω), Υ(Ω, ω, C) and Υ(ω, C), that are shown to generate nontrivial currents in the Fronsdal equations.

Higher Spin Matrix Models

open access: yesUniverse, 2017
We propose a hybrid class of theories for higher spin gravity and matrix models, i.e., which handle simultaneously higher spin gravity fields and matrix models.

Finiteness of 3D higher spin gravity Landscape

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity
Abstract We give Swampland constraints on the three dimensional Landscape of Anti-de Sitter higher spin gravity in the Chern–Simons formulation with connection valued in various split real forms of Lie algebras. We derive the finiteness conjecture by computing the upper bound on the rank of possible gauge groups then we refine it using ...

Massive spin 3 and Metric-Affine Gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Symmetric Metric-Affine Gravity is a theory of gravity with an independent non-metric connection, and zero torsion. It can be thought of as ordinary metric gravity coupled to a rank-3 tensor Q, symmetric in one pair of indices.

Limiting shifted homotopy in higher-spin theory and spin-locality

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
Higher-spin vertices containing up to quintic interactions at the LagTangian level are explicitly calculated in the one-form sector of the non-linear unfolded higher-spin equations using a 𝛽 →-∞-shifted contracting homotopy introduced in the paper.

Partially-massless higher spin algebras in four dimensions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We propose a realisation of partially-massless higher spin algebras in four dimensions in terms of bosonic and fermionic oscillators, using Howe duality between sp(4, ℝ) ≅ so(2, 3) and osp(1|2(ℓ − 1), ℝ).

On amplitudes in chiral higher spin gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
A bstract We extract cubic interactions from the covariant equations of motion of Chiral Higher Spin Gravity and compute the corresponding amplitudes. These amplitudes are found to agree with earlier results obtained in the light-cone gauge.
