Python I, II, and III CMB Anisotropy Measurement Constraints on Open and Flat-Lambda CDM Cosmogonies

open access: yes, 1999
We use Python I, II, and III cosmic microwave background anisotropy data to constrain cosmogonies. We account for the Python beamwidth and calibration uncertainties.

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Bayesian Inference on the Shape Parameter and Future Observation of Exponentiated Family of Distributions

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2011
The Bayes estimators of the shape parameter of exponentiated family of distributions have been derived by considering extension of Jeffreys' noninformative as well as conjugate priors under different scale-invariant loss functions, namely, weighted ...

EDNRB‐dependent endothelin signaling reduces proliferation and promotes proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition in gliomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Glioma cells mainly express the endothelin receptor EDNRB, while EDNRA is restricted to a perivascular tumor subpopulation. Endothelin signaling reduces glioma cell proliferation while promoting migration and a proneural‐to‐mesenchymal transition associated with poor prognosis. This pathway activates Ca2+, K+, ERK, and STAT3 signalings and is regulated

Engineered extracellular vesicles enriched with the miR‐214/199a cluster enhance the efficacy of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the miR‐214/199a cluster is associated with recurrence in ovarian cancer. Engineered small extracellular vesicles (m214‐sEVs) elevate miR‐214‐3p/miR‐199a‐5p in tumor cells, suppress β‐catenin, TLR4, and YKT6 signaling, reprogram tumor‐derived sEV cargo, reduce chemoresistance and migration, and enhance carboplatin efficacy and survival in ...

Inference for Dependent Competing Risks with Partially Observed Causes from Bivariate Inverted Exponentiated Pareto Distribution Under Generalized Progressive Hybrid Censoring

open access: yesAxioms
In this paper, inference under dependent competing risk data is considered with multiple causes of failure. We discuss both classical and Bayesian methods for estimating model parameters under the assumption that data are observed under generalized ...

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Bayesian calibration and uncertainty quantification for a large nutrient load impact modelZenodoZenodoZenodo

open access: yesEcological Informatics
Nutrient load simulators are large, deterministic, models that simulate the hydrodynamics and biogeochemical processes in aquatic ecosystems. They are central tools for planning cost-efficient actions to fight eutrophication since they allow scenario ...

Sequencing and analysis of globally obtained human parainfluenza viruses 1 and 3 genomes.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Human Parainfluenza viruses (HPIV) type 1 and 3 are important causes of respiratory tract infections in young children globally. HPIV infections do not confer complete protective immunity so reinfections occur throughout life.
