Characterization of designed, synthetically accessible bryostatin analog HIV latency reversing agents. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
HIV latency in resting CD4+ T cell represents a key barrier preventing cure of the infection with antiretroviral drugs alone. Latency reversing agents (LRAs) can activate HIV expression in latently infected cells, potentially leading to their elimination

Renal Oncocytoma With Retrorenal Appendicitis: An Uncommon Juxtaposition of Neoplastic and Inflammatory Processes in the Context of HIV Infection

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT In HIV‐positive patients, a blunted inflammatory response can mask retrorenal appendicitis, leading to atypical flank or abdominal pain. We report a case of dual pathology on CT scan involving retrorenal appendicitis and a large renal mass with a central scar suggesting oncocytoma.

Thrombotic Thrombocytopenic Purpura in a Patient With Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer Treated With PD‐L1 Inhibition and Taxane Chemotherapy

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 3, March 2026.
PET imaging of a 56 year old woman with HIV and advanced triple negative breast cancer with regional lymph node and bone metastases.
