A new old species of Tetracera (Dilleniaceae) from Espinhaço Range, Brazil

open access: yesNordic Journal of Botany, Volume 2026, Issue 10, October 2026.
Tetracera is the only genus within Dilleniaceae with a pantropical distribution. During efforts for a taxonomic revision of the neotropical species, we identified incongruences between application of names and their taxonomic identities, based on protologue and type specimen analysis. Here we describe a new species for the genus bearing a single carpel

Phylogeny and updated infrageneric classification of Asemeia (Polygalaceae)

open access: yesTAXON, Volume 75, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract The family Polygalaceae comprises approximately 1200 species in 30 genera worldwide. Among the four tribes within the family, tribe Polygaleae is characterized by unique flower structures resembling those of Leguminosae‐Papilionoideae. Asemeia is a genus within tribe Polygaleae, consisting of 36 species and 1 variety distributed throughout the

Enhanced Control of 1.5 MW DFIG Generators in MRWT Systems Using GA‐Based PI‐ST‐SMC: Comparative Assessment With ST‐SMC

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a novel genetic algorithm‐based proportional–integral super‐twisting sliding mode control (GA‐PI‐ST‐SMC) strategy for the rotor‐side converter of a 1.5 MW doubly‐fed induction generator (DFIG) operating in marine renewable wind turbine (MRWT) systems.

Multi‐Domain Linear Hybrid Semi‐Mechanism Modeling and Two‐Level Coordinated Control for a Cascade Dual‐Rotor Wind Turbine

open access: yesWind Energy, Volume 29, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT For a newly emerging kind of cascade dual‐rotor wind turbine (CDR‐WT), the coordinated control of its front and rear rotor faces significant challenges. To solve this problem, a novel modeling and control design approach is presented in this paper.

Pollen landscape saturation on pollinator bodies reduces pollen deposition by subsequently visited bat‐pollinated flowers

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 10, Page 3190-3199, October 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Sexual selection in flowering plants often operates through male–male competition, yet the mechanisms underlying this phenomenon remain difficult to demonstrate. One potential arena for such competition is pollen placement on pollinators, where pollen grains from ...
