A new discrete Hilbert-type inequality involving partial sums

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2019
In this paper, we derive a new discrete Hilbert-type inequality involving partial sums. Moreover, we show that the constant on the right-hand side of this inequality is the best possible. As an application, we consider some particular settings.

On a half-discrete Hilbert-type inequality related to hyperbolic functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2021
By the introduction of a new half-discrete kernel which is composed of several exponent functions, and using the method of weight coefficient, a Hilbert-type inequality and its equivalent forms involving multiple parameters are established.

Operator Jensen’s Inequality for Operator Superquadratic Functions

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
In this work, an operator superquadratic function (in the operator sense) for positive Hilbert space operators is defined. Several examples with some important properties together with some observations which are related to the operator convexity are ...

Generalization of Inequalities of Hardy-Hilbert type [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Inequalities & Applications, 2004
Generalizations of the well known Hilbert's and Hardy-Hilbert's inequality are given both in discrete and integral case.

The Huang–Yang Formula for the Low‐Density Fermi Gas: Upper Bound

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We study the ground state energy of a gas of spin 1/2$1/2$ fermions with repulsive short‐range interactions. We derive an upper bound that agrees, at low density ϱ$\varrho$, with the Huang–Yang conjecture. The latter captures the first three terms in an asymptotic low‐density expansion, and in particular the Huang–Yang correction term of order

Commutator inequalities via Schur products

open access: yes, 2015
For a self-adjoint unbounded operator D on a Hilbert space H, a bounded operator y on H and some complex Borel functions g(t) we establish inequalities of the type ||[g(D),y]|| \leq A|||y|| + B||[D,y]|| + ...+ X|[D, [D,...[D, y]...]]||.

Invariant Measure and Universality of the 2D Yang–Mills Langevin Dynamic

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We prove that the Yang–Mills (YM) measure for the trivial principal bundle over the two‐dimensional torus, with any connected, compact structure group, is invariant for the associated renormalised Langevin dynamic. Our argument relies on a combination of regularity structures, lattice gauge‐fixing and Bourgain's method for invariant measures ...

Regular Sequences of Quasi-Nonexpansive Operators and Their Applications

open access: yes, 2018
In this paper we present a systematic study of regular sequences of quasi-nonexpansive operators in Hilbert space. We are interested, in particular, in weakly, boundedly and linearly regular sequences of operators. We show that the type of the regularity

The Benjamin–Ono Equation in the Zero‐Dispersion Limit for Rational Initial Data: Generation of Dispersive Shock Waves

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The leading‐order asymptotic behavior of the solution of the Cauchy initial‐value problem for the Benjamin–Ono equation in L2(R)$L^2(\mathbb {R})$ is obtained explicitly for generic rational initial data u0$u_0$. An explicit asymptotic wave profile uZD(t,x;ε)$u^\mathrm{ZD}(t,x;\epsilon)$ is given, in terms of the branches of the multivalued ...

A half-discrete Hilbert-type inequality in the whole plane with the constant factor related to a cotangent function

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2023
In this work, by the introduction of some parameters, a new half-discrete kernel function in the whole plane is defined, which involves both the homogeneous and the nonhomogeneous cases.
