Age and growth of Mugil cephalus (Linnaeus, 1758) (Perciformes: Mugilidae) in Bonny Estuary [PDF]
The age and growth of Mugil cephalus was investigated in Bonny Estuary, Nigeria, from January, 1995 to December, 1996. Length-weight relationships were isometric with length exponents of 2.84 (males), 2.90 (females) and 2.88 (overall).

Weighted Wavelets Coefficients for Monitoring Process Mean
Abstract In this paper, we present a result regarding the probability distribution of wavelets coefficients. It extends the Theorem 1 that is presented in our previous work- Cohen, A. et al. Design of experiments and statistical process control using wavelets analysis. Control Engineering Practice. 2015 - to include Biorthogonal wavelets. Then, a new

A relation between two simple Hardy-Mulholland-type inequalities with parameters
By means of weight coefficients and the technique of real analysis, a new Hardy-Mulholland-type inequality with the kernel K λ ( m , n ) : = 1 ln λ U m + ln λ V n + α | ln λ U m − ln λ V n | $$ K_{\lambda}(m,n):=\frac{1}{\ln^{\lambda}U_{m}+\ln^{\lambda ...

Development and application of a unified balancing approach with multiple constraints [PDF]
The development of a general analytic approach to constrained balancing that is consistent with past influence coefficient methods is described. The approach uses Lagrange multipliers to impose orbit and/or weight constraints; these constraints are ...

Reflection Coefficients for the Generalized Jacobi Weight Functions
Let \(w(t)= f(t) \prod^ N_ 1 | e^{it}- e^{it_ j}|^{\gamma_ j}\) be a generalized Jacobi weight on the unit circle, where \(\gamma_ j> -1\) and \(h\) is a smooth differentiable function. Consider the orthonormal polynomials \(\{\Phi_ n\}\) associated with \(w\) and the so-called reflection coefficients \(\Phi_ n(0)\) for them.

Chorus: optimizing synchrotron transfer coefficients with weighted sums
ABSTRACT Accurate synchrotron transfer coefficients are essential for modelling radiation processes in astrophysics. However, their current calculation methods face significant challenges. Analytical approximations of the synchrotron emissivity, absorptivity, and rotativity are limited to a few simple electron distribution functions that
