A Multimodal Intelligent System for Human Digital Twin Simulation with Continuous Kinematic Data Tracking, Biometric Prognosis, and Cognitive State Feedback in Industrial Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
This article implements a unified human digital twin framework that integrates cutting edge actuation, sensing, simulation, and bidirectional feedback capability. The approach includes integrating multimodal sensing, AI, and biomechanical simulation into one compact system.

Experimental and Finite Element Studies of Acetabular Cement Pressurisation and Socket Fixation in Total Hip Replacement

open access: yes, 1997
PhDWith time, the rate of symptomatic acetabular component loosening accelerates and overtakes that of the femoral component as the principal reason for the revision of total hip replacement.

EMG‐Driven Telemetry and Inference System for Fish: Pose Reconstruction and Flow Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This work introduces an electromyography (EMG)‐driven telemetry framework that reconstructs body pose and infers hydrodynamic conditions in freely swimming fish. A custom 16‐channel archival system records intramuscular EMG, enabling deep‐learning models to decode joint kinematics, classify flow regimes, and reveal channel‐efficient sensing strategies.

Managing lower extremity loading in distance running by altering sagittal plane trunk leaning

open access: yesJournal of Sport and Health Science
Background: Trunk lean angle is an underrepresented biomechanical variable for modulating and redistributing lower extremity joint loading and potentially reducing the risk of running-related overuse injuries.

Hip joint loading during walking in people with hip osteoarthritis: a systematic review and meta-analysis

open access: yes, 2018
Purpose: Hip osteoarthritis (OA) is a prevalent and costly chronic musculoskeletal condition that often results in pain and physical dysfunction. Evidence-based modifiable treatment targets for hip OA remain somewhat elusive and are largely based on ...

Microfluidic Valve‐Integrated Garment for Smooth Sequential Gradient Mechanotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
We present a soft wearable sleeve that delivers smooth, gap‐free compression using overlapping air‐filled actuators and tiny microfluidic valves. The system reduces bulk, lowers power needs, and uses a smartphone‐sized control box. It can provide sequential gradient compression, gradient pressure holding, and fast deflation, supporting more portable ...
