A case of maturity‐onset diabetes of the young with a pathogenic HNF1A variant and a coexisting NEUROD1 variant

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aims/Introduction Maturity‐onset diabetes of the young (MODY) accounts for at least 1%–5% of diabetes cases and is usually caused by single gene variants. Accurate diagnosis of MODY is important for effective management, especially in young individuals who are lean and lack islet autoantibodies.

Dynamics of real and complex multi-soliton solutions, novel soliton molecules, asymmetric solitons and diverse wave solutions to the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation

open access: yesAlexandria Engineering Journal
The main center of this exploration is to extract some exact solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional Kadomtsev-Petviashvili equation (KPe), which can be used to model the long wave water waves with weak nonlinear restoring forces and frequency dispersion ...

Impact of system updates for sensor‐augmented pump therapy on glycemic management in Japanese individuals with type 1 diabetes (SAP‐J T1D study)

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes Investigation, EarlyView.
Sequential updates from MiniMed 620G to 640G and then to 770G were associated with stepwise improvements in glycemic management in Japanese individuals with type 1 diabetes. The transition to MiniMed 640G was mainly associated with reduced hypoglycemia, whereas the subsequent transition to MiniMed 770G was associated with reduced hyperglycemia.

Complex soliton dynamics in the M-truncated fractional nonlinear long-wave system: lump, breather and M-shape structures

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems
In this study, we investigate the fractional modified regularized long-wave Burger (fMRLW–Burger) equation, a governing model widely used to explain the evolution of nonlinear surface water waves.

Solutions of Non-Integrable Equations by the Hirota Direct Method

open access: yes, 2006
We show that we can also apply the Hirota method to some non-integrable equations. For this purpose, we consider the extensions of the Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) and the Boussinesq (Bo) equations. We present several solutions of these equations.

Construction of M-shaped solitons for a modified regularized long-wave equation via Hirota's bilinear method

open access: yesOpen Physics
This study examines the effects of various M-shaped water wave shapes on coastal environments for the modified regularized long-wave equation (MRLWE).

Newly recorded psychiatric diagnoses among 21 million youth before, during, and after COVID‐19 restrictions: A nationwide interrupted time‐series analysis

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, EarlyView.
Aim The COVID‐19 pandemic had substantial effects on youth mental health. Most previous studies focused on the initial pandemic years, leaving the post‐restriction period underexplored. We examined trajectories of newly recorded psychiatric diagnoses among Japanese youths across two policy shifts: March 2020 school closures and May 2023 ...

Effects of cold water immersion versus active recovery on oxidative stress, redox gene expression and mitochondrial adaptations after strength training

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract We compared the acute and chronic effects of postexercise cold water immersion (CWI) and active recovery (ACT) on oxidative stress, redox‐related gene expression, mitochondrial adaptations and muscle oxidative capacity. In a crossover study, nine males completed strength sessions, followed by either 10 min CWI or ACT.

Analytical Solutions of the Fractional Hirota–Satsuma Coupled KdV Equation along with Analysis of Bifurcation, Sensitivity and Chaotic Behaviors

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
This paper explores the exact solutions of the fractional Hirota–Satsuma coupled KdV (fHScKdV) equation in the Beta fractional derivative. The logistic method is first proposed to construct analytical solutions for the fHScKdV equation.
