Inferring alternative ecosystem states with field survey data
Abstract Many ecosystems potentially exhibit alternative stable states, where distinct states can coexist under identical environmental conditions. While simulation models have generated key hypotheses in alternative stable states theory, they often rely on scale‐free parameters disconnected from real ecosystems.

In this article, the (3+1)-dimensional Hirota–Satsuma–Ito-like equation is investigated by the modified direct method, from which some interaction solutions among lump, stripe solitons, and Jacobi elliptic function wave solutions are obtained, which are ...

Solitons are essential in order to understand integrable systems and solve nonlinear evolution equations. They maintain signal integrity in the optical fiber and represent localized waves in plasma, paying significantly to plasma behavior management in ...

Women's Health Care Committee, Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology: Annual Report 2026
ABSTRACT The Women's Health Care Committee was established in 2010 to promote women's health. In the fiscal year 2025, the committee advanced research and initiatives with a view toward social implementation, focusing on advancing understanding of disease etiology and improving quality of life (QOL) across the entire female life course, from ...

ABSTRACT Lysine represents a metabolic hub linking mitochondrial energy status with amino acid catabolism, yet its role in coordinating plant growth and development remains poorly characterised. The dapat mutant, which is deficient in L,L‐diaminopimelate aminotransferase (DAPAT), exhibits severe growth inhibition associated with broad metabolic ...

Phycobilisomes: modular light‐harvesting systems of cyanobacteria and red algae
SUMMARY Phycobilisomes (PBSs) are supramolecular pigment–protein complexes that function as the principal light‐harvesting antennae in cyanobacteria, red algae (Rhodophyta), and glaucophytes, and to a lesser extent in cryptophytes. Because the intrinsic chlorophyll‐based antennae of the photosystems absorb poorly in the green region of the spectrum ...

Unifying the QBO, MJO Shallow‐to‐Deep Convection Transitions, and Mesoscale Convective Systems
Abstract This study investigates Madden‐Julian Oscillation (MJO) convective structures to better understand how the Quasi‐biennial Oscillation (QBO) impacts MJO propagation. We find that during the QBO easterly (QBOE) phase, MJO events exhibit convective features that are highly favorable for propagation.

The search for integrability of nonlinear partial differential and difference equations includes the study on multi-soliton solutions. One of the most famous method to construct multi-soliton solutions is the Hirota direct method. In this thesis, we explain this method in detail and apply it to explicit examples.
