MIG‐seq2: Multiplexed Inter‐Simple Sequence Repeat Genotyping by Sequencing With Dual‐Unique Indices

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 4, July 2026.
We developed a new version of the Multiplexed ISSR Genotyping by Sequencing (MIG‐seq) method, called MIG‐seq2. This improved protocol incorporates dual unique indices to distinguish more than 1344 samples and optimizes primer tail sequences to improve sequence quality.

Construction of M-shaped solitons for a modified regularized long-wave equation via Hirota's bilinear method

open access: yesOpen Physics
This study examines the effects of various M-shaped water wave shapes on coastal environments for the modified regularized long-wave equation (MRLWE).

Solutions associated with discrete and continuous spectrums in the inverse scattering method for the Vakhnenko-Parkes equation

open access: yes, 2012
In this paper the inverse scattering method is applied to the Vakhnenko-Parkes equation. We describe a procedure for using the inverse scattering transform to find the solutions that are associated with both the bound state spectrum and continuous ...

What Are Asset Price Bubbles? A Survey on Definitions of Financial Bubbles

open access: yesJournal of Economic Surveys, Volume 40, Issue 3, Page 1572-1592, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Financial bubbles and crashes have repeatedly caused economic turmoil notably but not just during the 2008 financial crisis. However, both in the popular press as well as scientific publications, the meaning of bubble is sometimes unspecified.

Impacts of Deforestation‐Driven Rainfall Reductions on Amazonia Forest Stability

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 11, 16 June 2026.
Abstract The stability of Amazonian vegetation is strongly influenced by land–atmosphere feedbacks. It has been hypothesized that deforestation‐induced precipitation decline may lead to widespread forest decline across the entire basin. Using a moisture‐tracking model, we quantify how deforestation across South America alters downwind rainfall and ...

A Breed‐Specific SNP Panel With Higher Theoretical Exclusion Power and Practical Equivalence to International Standards for Parentage Testing in Pura Raza Española Horses

open access: yesAnimal Genetics, Volume 57, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Accurate parentage assignment is essential for managing livestock breeding and genetic improvement. This study evaluated a breed‐specific SNP panel (375 SNPs) for the Pura Raza Española (PRE) horse, comparing its performance against the traditional STR reference panel (18 microsatellite) and the international ISAG SNP core panel (378 SNPs ...

Yang-Baxter maps and the discrete KP hierarchy [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We present a systematic construction of the discrete KP hierarchy in terms of Sato–Wilson-type shift operators. Reductions of the equations in this hierarchy to 1+1-dimensional integrable lattice systems are considered, and the problems that arise with ...

Cross-kink wave, solitary, dark, and periodic wave solutions by bilinear and He's variational direct methods for the KP-BBM equation

open access: yes, 2021
This paper deals with cross-kink waves in the (2+1)-dimensional KP-BBM equation in the incompressible fluid. Based on Hirota's bilinear technique, cross-kink solutions related to KP-BBM equation are constructed.

Thicket Formation and Light Limitation Drive Patch‐Scale Vegetation Transitions in a Subtropical Savanna

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 6, June 2026.
Bush encroachment drives a shift from savanna dominated by Vachellia karroo to thicket vegetation. As canopies close, light availability declines, herbaceous cover and species richness decrease, and shade‐tolerant species replace open‐savanna taxa. Woody cover above ca.
