Traumatic Occlusion Exacerbates Bone Resorption by Modifying Gene Expression in the Bone Tissue of Ligature‐Induced Periodontitis in Mice

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Periodontology, Volume 53, Issue 6, Page 838-848, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To clarify the molecular mechanisms of occlusal trauma in bone loss through periodontal tissue transcriptome analysis in mice with periodontitis and traumatic occlusion. Materials and Methods Ligature‐induced periodontitis (Li) and composite resin‐induced traumatic occlusion (Tra) mouse models were established (control [Co], Li, Tra and ...

Molecular Clocks in Translational Roadmap for Circadian‐Based Therapeutics in Lung Diseases

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 10, 31 May 2026.
High‐amplitude circadian oscillations maintain lung immune and epithelial homeostasis. Chronic inflammation dampens peripheral clock amplitude, driving chronodisruption, barrier dysfunction, and remodeling. Clock‐targeted therapies re‐entrain the lung circadian clock, restore rhythmic immune resolution, and promote functional lung repair.

The relation between a 2D Lotka-Volterra equation and a 2D Toda lattice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
It is shown that the 2-discrete dimensional Lotka-Volterra lattice, the two dmensional Toda lattice equation and the recent 2-discrete dimensional Toda lattice equation of Santini et al can be obtained from a 2-discrete 2-continuous dimensional Lotka ...

Multi-soliton and rogue wave solutions and their interaction: Insights into nonlinear dynamics in integrable systems

open access: yesPartial Differential Equations in Applied Mathematics
Solitons are essential in order to understand integrable systems and solve nonlinear evolution equations. They maintain signal integrity in the optical fiber and represent localized waves in plasma, paying significantly to plasma behavior management in ...

Spatiotemporal Fire Patterns and Post‐fire Forest Change in Peru (2000–2021)

open access: yesLand Degradation &Development, Volume 37, Issue 9, Page 4368-4382, 30 May 2026.
ABSTRACT Fire is increasingly more frequent and severe in many tropical regions, leading to significant forest loss, diminished biodiversity, and reduced Nature's contributions to people (NCPs). In this study, we analyzed the spatiotemporal patterns of fire in Peru and its regions, focusing on: (1) burned area, (2) size, and (3) number of fires, using ...

Moisture‐Flux‐Sensitive Convection Strengthens MJO Preconditioning

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract Despite decades of research, the Madden‐Julian Oscillation (MJO) remains challenging for global prediction systems, partly because its representation is sensitive to convection‐environment interactions. We evaluate a new prognostic convective closure in NOAA's Unified Forecast System (UFS) that incorporates large‐scale moisture‐flux ...

Exact Soliton Solutions of the One-dimensional Complex Swift-Hohenberg Equation

open access: yes, 2015
Using Painlevé analysis, the Hirota multi-linear method and a direct ansatz technique, we study analytic solutions of the (1+1)-dimensional complex cubic and quintic Swift-Hohenberg equations. We consider both standard and generalized versions of these

Soliton Solutions of the Time Fractional Generalized Hirota-satsuma Coupled KdV System

open access: yes, 2015
In this present study, the exact traveling wave solutions to the time fractional generalized Hirota-Satsuma coupled KdV system are studied by using the direct algebraic method. The exact and complex solutions obtained during the present investigation are

Abundant exact traveling wave solutions and modulation instability analysis to the generalized Hirota–Satsuma–Ito equation

open access: yesOpen Physics
In this work, the exact solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional generalized Hirota–Satsuma–Ito equation are reported by adopting the He’s variational direct technique (HVDT).

The Hirota direct method

open access: yes, 2016
The search for integrability of nonlinear partial differential and difference equations includes the study on multi-soliton solutions. One of the most famous method to construct multi-soliton solutions is the Hirota direct method. In this thesis, we explain this method in detail and apply it to explicit examples.
