Implantation technique of His bundle pacing
Herzschrittmachertherapie + Elektrophysiologie, 2020His bundle pacing (HBP) preserves physiological ventricular synchrony, with clinical benefits particularly evident when a high percentage of ventricular pacing is required. First experiences with standard leads and manually shaped stylets produced the impression that HBP is highly complex and time-consuming.

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2004
Direct His‐bundle pacing (DHBP) produces rapid sequential multisite synchronous ventricular activation and, therefore, would be an ideal alternative to right ventricular apical (RVA) pacing. In 54 patients with cardiomyopathy, ejection fraction (EF) 0.23 ± 0.11, persistent atrial fibrillation, and normal QRS < 120 ms. DHBP was attempted.

Subthreshold Stimulation for His Bundle Pacing
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2018One of the drawbacks of permanent His bundle pacing has been the relatively high pacing thresholds. The present experimental study was proposed to address this issue. In this article the authors present preliminary evidence that His bundle pacing can be achieved with subthreshold stimulation, thereby providing for increased battery life and ...

Permanent His‐Bundle Pacing: Case Studies
Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2016His bundle pacing (HBP) is a physiological alternative to right ventricular pacing. In addition to patients with normal His‐Purkinje conduction, HBP can be valuable in patients with infranodal atrioventricular (AV) block and patients undergoing AV node ablation. The following case studies illustrate the challenges associated with HBP.

Permanent His Bundle Pacing for Cardiac Resynchronization
Current Treatment Options in Cardiovascular Medicine, 2018His bundle pacing (HBP) has been shown to be a feasible, beneficial, and safe way to achieve cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) with recruitment of the heart's physiological conduction system. HBP should be considered for those with unfavorable coronary sinus (CS) anatomy, and nonresponders to biventricular (BiV) pacing.

Troubleshooting and programming considerations for His bundle pacing
Heart Rhythm, 2019Interest in permanent His bundle pacing as a means of both preventing pacing-induced cardiomyopathy and providing physiological resynchronization by normalization of His-Purkinje activation is steadily growing. However, there are differences in atrioventricular timing cycles, sensing, and tissue capture that distinguish His bundle pacing from right ...
