Permanent His‐Bundle Pacing: Case Studies
Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2016His bundle pacing (HBP) is a physiological alternative to right ventricular pacing. In addition to patients with normal His‐Purkinje conduction, HBP can be valuable in patients with infranodal atrioventricular (AV) block and patients undergoing AV node ablation. The following case studies illustrate the challenges associated with HBP.

His bundle pacing: Tips and tricks
Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2020AbstractHis bundle (HB) pacing is an established modality for achieving physiological pacing with a low risk of long‐term lead‐related complications. The development of specially designed lead and delivery tools has improved the feasibility and safety of HB pacing (HBP).

Future Developments in His Bundle Pacing
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2018Because there has been a significant push toward His bundle pacing (HBP), multiple studies and advancements are underway to provide new and improved delivery tools and lead designs, allowing one to apply this technology in daily practice. A better understanding of the pacing configurations and ultimately development of dedicated algorithms will ...

Implantation technique of His bundle pacing
Herzschrittmachertherapie + Elektrophysiologie, 2020His bundle pacing (HBP) preserves physiological ventricular synchrony, with clinical benefits particularly evident when a high percentage of ventricular pacing is required. First experiences with standard leads and manually shaped stylets produced the impression that HBP is highly complex and time-consuming.

His Bundle Pacing for Cardiac Resynchronization
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2018Cardiac resynchronization therapy with left ventricular coronary sinus or epicardial pacing is an established therapy for patients with systolic heart failure and intraventricular conduction system delay, particularly left bundle branch block.

Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, 2015
IntroductionHis‐bundle (HB) pacing (P) is a physiological alternative to right ventricular pacing (RVP), but is technically challenging and limited by higher pacing thresholds. Myocardial injury current (IC) recorded during right ventricular lead placement implies good tissue contact and is associated with low‐pacing thresholds.

His Bundle Pacing: Techniques and Outcomes
Current Cardiology Reports, 2016Traditional right ventricular pacing prolongs the electrical and mechanical activation of the heart, which reduces the pump function, and in selected patients may lead to pacing-induced heart failure. Pacing the His bundle preserves the normal or near-normal activation pattern of the ventricles that prevents the detrimental effects of right ventricular

Physiologic Differentiation Between Selective His Bundle, Nonselective His Bundle and Septal Pacing
Cardiac Electrophysiology Clinics, 2022His bundle (HB) pacing is an increasingly popular method of physiologic ventricular pacing. The electrocardiographic hallmark of physiologic pacing is the preservation or restoration of physiologic activation times in the left ventricle-a principle of paramount diagnostic importance.

Anatomical approach to permanent His bundle pacing: Optimizing His bundle capture
Journal of Electrocardiology, 2016Permanent His bundle pacing is a physiological alternative to right ventricular pacing. In this article we describe our approach to His bundle pacing in patients with AV nodal and intra-Hisian conduction disease. It is essential for the implanters to understand the anatomic variations of the His bundle course and its effect on the type of His bundle ...
