Quantitative histogram analysis of images

open access: yesComputer Physics Communications, 2006
Abstract A routine for histogram analysis of images has been written in the object-oriented, graphical development environment LabVIEW. The program converts an RGB bitmap image into an intensity-linear greyscale image according to selectable conversion coefficients. This greyscale image is subsequently analysed by plots of the intensity histogram and

From Histogram Data to Model Data Analysis

open access: yes, 2010
The aim of this work is to propose a new approach for dealing with histogram data in symbolic data analysis framework. The idea is to approximate histogram data using B-spline functions in order to synthetize the information within data trough some characteristic function parameters.

A histogram analysis for system of systems

International Journal of System of Systems Engineering, 2014
The problems stemming from increasing complexity continue to confound our capabilities to deal with systems. In response, many large organisations seek to integrate their existing systems to work together to accomplish capabilities that cannot be achieved by the constituent systems.

Analysis of the dose‐surface histogram and dose‐wall histogram for the rectum and bladder

Medical Physics, 1997
Dose distribution throughout a hollow organ is represented by either a dose‐surface histogram (DSH) or a dose‐wall histogram (DWH). A spherical shell model for the bladder and a cylindrical shell model for the rectum were introduced for quantifying the difference between the DWH and DSH.

Bread porosity evaluation by histogram analysis

Proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Computer Systems and Technologies, 2018
An algorithm for automatic image thresholding with application in bread porosity evaluation is presented in this paper. The algorithm is named HisAnalysis and it is implemented on C#. It is made an assessment of accuracy between physicochemical method for bread porosity evaluation and two methods for automatic determination of porosity using Tsai ...

Recursive region segmentation by analysis of histograms

ICASSP '82. IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2005
Recursive segmentation of an image into regions using histograms is one of the most widely used techniques for image segmentation. At CMU, several versions of a region segmentation program have been developed based on this technique (Ohlander, Price, Shafer and Kanade).

Analysis of the electroencephalogram of children by histogram method

Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1958
Abstract For the quantitative expression of slow activity of the EEG, the writers analysed the EEGs of 87 children by analyser and histogram methods and two of these EEGs were also analysed by the mathematical method. The histogram method was also applied to the study comparing EEGs of children having sign of some neuropsychiatric condition with ...
