Magnetic Resonance Imaging findings in Primary Extracutaneous Melanoma from a Tertiary Cancer Care Centre: A Retrospective Cohort Study [PDF]
Introduction: Extracutaneous melanomas are rare, aggressive type of tumour, clinically and biologically distinct from their cutaneous counterpart. The two large broad categories of the extracutaneous melanomas are ocular and mucosal subtypes.

Diffusion weighted imaging in the liver
Diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) is an imaging technique which provides tissue contrast by the measurement of diffusion properties of water molecules within tissues. Diffusion is expressed in an apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC), which reflects the diffusion properties unique to each type of tissue. DWI has been originally used in

Super-Resolution in Diffusion-Weighted Imaging [PDF]
Diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) enables non-invasive investigation and characterization of the white-matter but suffers from a relatively poor resolution. In this work we propose a super-resolution reconstruction (SRR) technique based on the acquisition of multiple anisotropic orthogonal DWI scans. We address the problem of patient motions by aligning

Outlier Rejection for Diffusion Weighted Imaging [PDF]
This paper introduces an outlier rejection and signal reconstruction method for high angular resolution diffusion weighted imaging. The approach is based on the thresholding of Laplacian measurements over the sphere of the apparent diffusion coefficient profiles defined for a given set of gradient directions. Exemplary results are presented.

Diffusion-Weighted Imaging and Diffusion Tensor Imaging [PDF]
Assessment of the integrity of the articular cartilage is considered key for the early diagnosis of osteoarthritis (OA). Diffusion-weighted imaging and diffusion tensor imaging have potential as biomarkers for cartilage composition and structure. The value of diffusion to detect compositional and structural changes in the cartilage matrix has been ...

MRI of Breast Lymphoma: A Report of Two Cases with Emphasis on Diffusion Weighted Imaging and Apparent Diffusion Coefficient Value [PDF]
Breast lymphoma is a rare neoplasm that accounts for approximately 0.04-0.5% of breast malignancies. Most breast lymphomas are B-cell type non-Hodgkin lymphomas. The imaging features of breast lymphoma on mammography and ultrasound are nonspecific. There

Diagnosis of pericardial cysts using diffusion weighted magnetic resonance imaging: A case series
Introduction Congenital pericardial cysts are benign lesions that arise from the pericardium during embryonic development. The diagnosis is based on typical imaging features, but atypical locations and signal magnetic resonance imaging sequences make it ...
