Evaluating Partisan Gerrymandering in Wisconsin
We examine the extent of gerrymandering for the 2010 General Assembly district map of Wisconsin. We find that there is substantial variability in the election outcome depending on what maps are used.

This study introduces VIVID (Vesicle In Vivo Identification using DNA), a qPCR‐based platform that tracks PCR‐amplifiable DNA tags loaded in the EVs for accurate and quantifiable EV biodistribution in vivo. ABSTRACT Extracellular vesicles (EVs) represent promising carriers for nucleic acid therapeutics, offering advantages over synthetic nanoparticles ...

Applying a high electric field to a doped organic semiconductor heats up the charge carrier distribution beyond the lattice temperature, enhancing conductivity. It is shown that the associated effective temperature can be used to extract the effective localization length, which is a characteristic length scale of charge transport and provides ...

Interleaving Max-Min Difference Histogram Shifting Data Hiding Method
This work proposes a reversible data hiding algorithm that is based on the interleaving max-min difference histogram. The method divides the cover image into non-overlapping identical blocks. In each block, the maximum or minimum pixel is selected to calculate absolute differences between the gray level value of the selected pixel and that of the other

A pixelation‐free, monolithic iontronic pressure sensor enables simultaneous pressure and position sensing over large areas. AC‐driven ion release generates spatially varying impedance pathways depending on the pressure. Machine learning algorithms effectively decouple overlapping pressure–position signals from the multichannel outputs, achieving high ...

A Complexation‐Mediated Diffusion‐Limited Growth (CMDLG) framework is established to rationalize the anisotropic growth of lead‐free perovskites. Integrating coordination chemistry with mass transport kinetics, this study theoretically derives and experimentally validates that stable iodocuprate complexes induce a diffusion‐limited regime.

Averaged Shifted Histograms: Effective Nonparametric Density Estimators in Several Dimensions
Let \(X_ 1,X_ 2,..\). be i.i.d. from some unknown density f in \({\mathbb{R}}\). For a given bin-width \(h>0\) and an integer \(m\geq 1\) let, for \(0\leq i\leq m-1\), \(\hat a_ i\) be the histogram for the grid \(rh+ih/m\), \(r\in {\mathbb{Z}}.\) The author proposes \(\hat f_ n\), the average of the \(\hat a_ i's\), as an estimator for f, and derives ...

Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.
