MED27 is one of the 26 subunits in the human Mediator complex (MED). Neurodevelopmental disorder‐causing MED27 genetic variants induce instability of MED, leading to disrupted DNA occupancy, altered chromatin interaction, and subsequent transcriptional dysregulation of critical downstream genes, including master regulatory transcription factors ...

Oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) activity serves as a critical metabolic determinant of radiotherapy outcomes in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). The CEBPB/AREG/EREG axis drives radioresistance in ESCC by reprogramming OXPHOS. AREG and EREG function as predictive biomarkers for nCRT response and prognosis of ESCC patients.

Geometrically Encoded Positioning of Introns, Intergenic Segments, and Exons in the Human Genome
This study introduces a new hypothesis: exons, introns, and intergenic segments are non‐random projections of the functional layers of 3D structure of chromatin packing domains. Evidence is presented that this “geometric code” may encode volumetric structure, reconciling epigenetic patterns, correlates with oncogenic mutations, acting as a potential ...

"Revolution? What Revolution?" Successes and limits of computing technologies in philosophy and religion [PDF]
Computing technologies like other technological innovations in the modern West are inevitably introduced with the rhetoric of "revolution". Especially during the 1980s (the PC revolution) and 1990s (the Internet and Web revolutions), enthusiasts ...

This study presents aerofoiled microfluidic structures optimized for efficient mixing and lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formation across broad flow rates. Based on this design, two dedicated systems are introduced: MiNANO‐form for high‐throughput formulation screening and MiNANO‐scale for continuous large‐scale production, enabling reproducible, high ...

A minimal computational model of cellular aggregate formation in neurodegenerative disease, encompassing two competing processes: cell‐autonomous and cell‐to‐cell triggers of aggregation, is presented. Despite its simplicity, the model can reproduce the aggregate patterns observed in post‐mortem brain images from the primary tauopathy Progressive ...

The “gut‐joint axis” in knee synovitis is uncovered. Integrated multi‐omics studies are conducted in two independent osteoarthritis cohorts. Synovitis is characterized an increased F/B ratio, as well as alterations of 3‐HIA, geranic acid, and TWEAK. Upregulated TWEAK receptor is found in high‐grade synovitis, and inversely correlated with lower TWEAK ...
