Morphological Characterization and Complete Mitochondrial Genome of a New Epizoic Hexamerous Brittle Star Gymnolophus sexradia sp. Nov

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study describes a new hexamerous epizoic brittle star species, Gymnolophus sexradia sp. nov., from the South China Sea, which lives on crinoid hosts and exhibits a six‐armed body plan possibly indicating fissiparity. Its vertebral and arm plate structures enhance horizontal flexibility for grasping the host, and phylogenetic analysis based on ...

Wolves in Bhutan Are Part of the Ancient Himalayan Wolf (Canis lupus chanco) Lineage

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 8, August 2026.
During Bhutan's nationwide snow leopard survey (2022–2023), putative snow leopard scat samples were collected, of which some were genetically identified as belonging to the wolf. Mitochondrial DNA analyses placed all Bhutanese sequences within the monophyletic Himalayan wolf clade and matched haplotypes previously reported from Nepal.

Photovoltaic Power Generation Fault Diagnosis Model Based on Multi‐Source Data Fusion Using Neural Network Algorithms

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
This study introduces a multi‐source data fusion framework for PV fault diagnosis that integrates an adaptive CNN with a collaborative data‐feature layer architecture. The model achieves 99.0% accuracy and 98.8% F1‐score, outperforming traditional methods by over 10% and offering a promising solution for reliable PV system monitoring. ABSTRACT Research
