The role of SMLR1 in lipid metabolism (high fat + cholesterol diet in mice) Abstract Background and Aims The assembly and secretion of VLDL from the liver, a pathway that affects hepatic and plasma lipids, remains incompletely understood. We set out to identify players in the VLDL biogenesis pathway by identifying genes that are co‐expressed with the ...

Crystal Structure Prediction of Inorganic Materials: A Benchmark and Modern Evaluation
Predicting a crystal’s structure from composition alone is a long‐standing challenge in materials discovery. The CSP180 benchmark of 180 inorganic crystals evaluates thirteen crystal structure prediction algorithms requiring no density functional theory (DFT) against DFT‐based baselines across twelve metrics.

Exploiting Ferroelectric and Spintronic Dynamics for Neural Network Computation
Ferroelectric and spintronic devices, relying on the control of polarization and magnetization, offer intrinsically fast, durable, energy‐efficient, and low‐latency building blocks for analog in‐memory computing. The hysteretic dynamics of an order parameter are leveraged to provide nonvolatile, multistate memory and nonlinear switching. Brain‐inspired

Genetic Detumbling a Satellite
The genetic programming approach is applied to a highly nonlinear control problem, the attitude control problem. A rigid body satellite is detumbled and controlled by using the control law derived by GP.

Abstract Premise Road verges function as refuges for semi‐natural species, but they can also facilitate the spread of non‐native plants such as Lupinus polyphyllus. Unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)–based remote sensing is a promising tool for mapping these species; however, its application in roadside contexts remains limited.

A pure inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE) is demonstrated in ferromagnetic Ni₈₀Fe2₀/YIG heterostructures via the longitudinal spin Seebeck effect. By employing symmetry‐controlled geometries and reference samples, anomalous Nernst contributions are quantitatively eliminated, revealing intrinsic spin–charge conversion in Ni₈₀Fe2₀.

Abstract The growing global demand for sustainable energy solutions has intensified the search for renewable alternatives to fossil fuels, with biodiesel emerging as a promising candidate due to its biodegradability and lower emissions. However, its large‐scale application is limited by low oxidative stability, which compromises storage and performance.

ABSTRACT To increase the information content in early stages of bioprocess development, various technologies have been introduced for monitoring cultivations in microtiter plates (MTPs). Besides spectroscopical measurements, like in the BioLector technology, optical measurements with luminescent sensors, placed directly in the cultivation medium ...
