Expression of HLA-DR in intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma

Cancer, 1992
Expression of HLA-DR was investigated immunohistochemically in 20 cases of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, as well as 9 normal livers that had been obtained at autopsy. Five of the nine normal livers had peribiliary glands that showed HLA-DR. Positive staining for HLA-DR on tumor cells was observed in 6 of 13 cases of cholangiocarcinoma of the hepatic

HLA-DR Expression in Acute Pancreatitis

The European Journal of Surgery, 1999
To investigate the role of the monocyte/macrophage system in acute pancreatitisProspective clinical studyUniversity clinic, Germany37 consecutive patients who presented with acute pancreatitis.Correlation between function of monocytes measured by HLA-DR expression and outcomePatients were divided into three groups according to outcome: those with ...

Interaction of HLA-DR with actin microfilaments

Human Immunology, 2003
Capping of HLA-DR on the surface of a human lymphoblastoid cell line (RAJI) and a transfectant human fibroblast cell line (M1DR1) was studied by confocal microscopy. Capping was induced at 22 degrees C after treating cells with an HLA-DR specific monoclonal antibody, L243, followed by a secondary antibody conjugated with FITC.

HLA‐DR generic typing by AFLP

Tissue Antigens, 1991
Abstract: We have described a practical and inexpensive method whereby any individual can be typed and assigned to any of the 14 generic HLA‐DR types: DR1, DRwl5, DRwl6, DRwl7, DRwl8, DR4, DRwll, DRwl2, DRwl3, DRwl4, DR7, DRw8, DR9 and DRw10. Previous methods to type these specificities include ‐ among others ‐ serology, conventional RFLP, PCR ...

A possible new HLA-DR allele

Human Immunology, 1983
In routine screening of anti-HLA DR reagents, serum 901 was obtained from a woman of negroid origin ten days after delivery of a second child. The spouse was also of black origin. This serum contained polyspecific HLA A and B antibodies. After platelet absorption it reacted with the B cells of 10 out of 119 European Caucasoid panel donors (8.4%) typed ...

HLA-DR and -DQ associations with melioidosis

Human Immunology, 1998
Melioidosis is an important infectious disease of southeast Asia caused by an intracellular bacterium, Burkholderia pseudomallei. Cellular immunity is postulated to play important roles in immunity to melioidosis that may influence the severity and clinical outcome of the disease. The present study was undertaken to investigate possible associations of

HLA-DR antigens in gastric carcinoma

Immunology Letters, 1990
Serological HLA typing of 56 gastric carcinoma patients and 53 healthy controls was performed by the long two-stage microlymphocytotoxic test. There was a significantly increased frequency of DR3 antigen (P less than 0.01) in the patients compared to controls.

Polymorphism and complexity of HLA-DR: evidence for intra-HLA-DR region crossing-over events

Immunogenetics, 1988
HLA-DR molecules were isolated from HLA-DR3, -5, and -w6 positive homozygous B-cell lines by immunoprecipitation with monoclonal antibodies and analyzed by gel electrophoretic techniques. DNA isolated from the same cell lines was digested with the restriction enzyme Taq I and hybridized with a DR beta full-length cDNA probe.

Monoclonal antibodies to HLA-DR antigens

Immunology Today, 1984
Monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) have been invaluable in the study of human MHC class-11 (or la-like) antigens. For this to continue some pooling of resources was needed and in 1982 the British Medical Research Council's Clinical and Population Cytogenetics Unit in Edinburgh initiated an information exchange scheme on anti-class-11 Mabs in an attempt to ...

The role of HLA-DR-DR and HLA-DR-DP interactions in genetic susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis

Human Immunology, 1996
In order to analyze the relationships between the DR and DP loci in the genetic susceptibility to RA, HLA-DRB1 and -DPB1 polymorphism was studied in 155 RA patients compared to 150 controls, using a reverse dot-blot analysis. Our data were consistent with the involvement of the amino acid in position 71 of the third hypervariable region of the DR beta ...
