HLA-DR antigens in Chinese-American families
Human Immunology, 1982This paper contains results of a study on HLA-DR antigens in Chinese-American families. DR2, DR4, DRw9, and DRw6Y were the most common DR specificities encountered, and DR1 occurred with the lowest frequency. All recognized DR antigens were observed. The frequency of a blank allele was 6.4-12.8%.

HLA‐DR Antigens in Pemphigus among Japanese
Tissue Antigens, 1981The frequency of HLA‐DR4 was significantly increased at P < 0.02 in 37 unrelated pemphigus patients (62.2%), when compared with unrelated 73 healthy controls (30.1%). This antigen was more frequently found in pemphigus foliaceus (70.6%) than pemphigus vulgaris (55.8%).

HLA-DR antigens and disease patterns of rheumatoid arthritis
Rheumatology International, 1983HLA-DR antigens were determined in 111 patients with classic or definite rheumatoid arthritis. HLA-DR4 was significantly (P corr. less than 10(-6] increased in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (54%) compared with controls (23.2%). HLA-DR 5 was decreased in rheumatoid arthritis (12.6% vs 26.4% of controls); however, the corrected P value was not ...

Structural Analyses of HLA-DR Antigens
1981There has been considerable progress in the characterization of HLA-DR antigens even though these human counterparts of murine and guinea pig Ir gene products were identified only a few years ago. The information available at present concerning the biological, chemical, and structural properties of HLA-DR antigens can be summarized as follows (for a ...

HLA–DR antigen expression in colonic adenomas and adenocarcinomas
Pathology, 1994Previous studies have shown that malignant transformation is sometimes associated with the aberrant expression of HLA class II antigens. The functional significance of such aberrant expression is not known. Since HLA-DR antigen is expressed in normal colonic mucosa, it would be interesting to see if malignant transformation could result in the aberrant

HLA-DR antigens in children with mumps meningitis.
Archivum immunologiae et therapiae experimentalis, 1992The frequency of HLA-DR antigens was studied in 54 patients with mumps meningitis, and in two control groups. The first control group comprised 333 randomly chosen subjects while the second group was composed of 46 subjects who have passed mumps without meningitis.

[HLA-DR antigens and leukemias].
Casopis lekaru ceskych, 1994In 79 leukaemic subjects (42 with acute leukaemia, 37 with chronic myelosis) the authors assessed HLA-DR antigens 1-5.7 and their frequency. As compared with a group of 130 healthy subjects, no significant difference was found. The results do not support a possible relationship of HLA-DR antigens and leukaemia.

HLA-DR Antigen Expression and Autoimmunity
1986Products of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) of genes play several key roles in the autoimmune response. Besides being predominantly responsible for the rejection of tissue grafts and graft-versus-host reactions, molecules encoded by MHC genes are directly involved in the recognition of antigen by T-cells.

Schizophrenic disorders and HLA-DR antigens.
Biological psychiatry, 1984HLA-A, -B, and -DR antigens, including supertypic specificities (MT antigens), were studied in Japanese schizophrenic patients. Although frequencies of HLA-A, -B, and MT antigens did not differ significantly between the schizophrenic patients and controls, the frequency of DRw8 in DR locus showed a statistically significant increase in the patients ...
