Malignant hypertension and HLA antigens

Tissue Antigens, 1983
Thirty‐two patients with malignant hypertension and terminal uremia and a group of 1263 healthy blood donors were studied regarding the incidence of different HLA antigens. HLA‐Bw35; Cw4 antigens were found to be significantly more frequent in the group of patients with malignant hypertension than in the group of healthy individuals.

HLA antigens and intracranial aneurysms

Acta Neurochirurgica, 1992
The frequencies of the HLA-A, -B and -DR were determined in a group of 59 transplant donors who died from subarachnoid haemorrhage within three days following the rupture of intracranial aneurysm (the SAH group) and compared with those of a control group consisting of 389 donors who died from other causes.

HLA Antigens and Berger's Disease

Tissue Antigens, 1980
We have studied the frequencies of HLA–A, –B antigens in 73 Berger's disease patients, plus HLA–DR antigens in 35 of them, and compared the percentages of antigens frequencies with those of a local and national panel. This study does not confirm the positive associations with HLA–Bw35 or HLA–B12 which have been previously reported.

HLA antigens in tardive dyskinesia

Journal of Neuroimmunology, 1990
Fifty-three male, Caucasian, neuroleptic-treated patients with chronic schizophrenia were examined for the presence of tardive dyskinesia (TD) and were tissue typed. The group with TD (n = 25) was compared to the group without TD (n = 28). HLA-DR4 was more prevalent in the group with TD than in the group without TD, with a relative risk of 3.04 for TD ...

HLA antigens in patients with scabies

British Journal of Dermatology, 1981
Sixty patients with scabies were typed for thirty-three antigens of the HLA-A, -B and -C series. A significantly increased frequency was found for HLA-AII (28.3%), compared to healthy controls (10.4%). This deviation was only found in those of the patients without signs of atopic disease.

HLA antigens in Hirschsprung's disease

Tissue Antigens, 1985
In 55 children with Hirschsprung's disease, 64 of their normal siblings and 120 other members of their families, HLA‐A, B and C types were examined. The statistical significance of the raised incidence of A1, B14, B37 and Bw35 in the patients disappeared after correction for multiple testing. The levels of homozygosity were very similar in patients and

HLA Antigens in Patients with Psoriasis

Tissue Antigens, 1978
Tissue typing was performed on lymphocytes of 46 Jewish patients with psoriasis vulgaris. HLA B13, B17, B37 and Cw6 were found increased. It is suggested that the increase in the B and C locus antigens is inter‐related and may determine the genetic predisposition for the development of this disease,

HLA ANTIGENS IN GRAVES' DISEASE

Acta Endocrinologica, 1977
ABSTRACT HLA typing of 86 patients with Graves' disease was performed for the A, B, C and D series antigens. An increased frequency of HLA-B8 (47 per cent) and Dw3 (51 per cent) compared with controls (23.7 and 21 per cent, respectively) was observed.
