Tactile Perception of 3D‐Printed Typodont Materials in Dental Education: A Systematic Review

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Dental Education, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Adoption of additive manufacture of printed typodonts within dentistry for education occurs despite inadequate reproduction of desirable tactile characteristics of human tooth tissues. Variable findings regarding material properties and educational outcomes of 3D‐printed typodonts are reported.

Effect of Aggregate Gradation on Workability of Hot Mix Asphalt Mixtures

open access: yesThe Baltic Journal of Road and Bridge Engineering, 2007
The ease of hot mix asphalt (HMA) mixture for compacting describes workability of the HMA mixture. This study developed a simple workability index (WI) and applied it to investigate effect of aggregate gradation on workability of HMA mixtures.

Survival After Diagnosis of Cardiovascular Disease in Survivors of Adolescent and Young Adult Lymphoma

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Cardiac dysfunction is a major morbidity among survivors of adolescent and young adult (AYA) lymphoma. Although high mortality after cardiovascular disease (CVD) diagnosis has been shown in other cancer survivor populations, this has not been investigated in a diverse population of survivors of AYA lymphoma.

Frailty and Fitness in Older Adults With Acute Myeloid Leukemia: From Chronological Age to Multiparametric Assessment

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute Myeloid Leukemia predominantly affects older adults, who often present with comorbidities, functional impairment, and frailty, limiting eligibility for intensive chemotherapy or allogeneic transplantation. Historically, treatment options were restricted to hypomethylating agents, low‐dose cytarabine, hydroxyurea, or supportive care, with

KRAS Mutations Predict Inferior Post‐Remission Outcomes in Newly Diagnosed Acute Myeloid Leukemia With MAPK Pathway Mutations

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Somatic mutations in the MAPK signaling pathway are frequently identified at AML diagnosis; however, their impact on treatment resistance and long‐term survival remains unclear. We conducted a retrospective study of patients with newly diagnosed MAPK‐mutated AML seen at the University of Iowa Health Care.

Dose‐Adjusted Treatment With 7‐Day Venetoclax Plus Azacitidine or Decitabine in Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukaemia

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in older or unfit patients is commonly treated with hypomethylating agents (HMA) plus venetoclax (VEN), but prolonged VEN exposure often causes substantial haematological toxicity. We retrospectively analysed 61 elderly AML patients treated with HMA + VEN for 7 (7d), 14 (14d) or > 14 days (> 14d) per cycle.

ALOX15 mediates thrombin‐induced myristoylation, trafficking, and interaction of protease‐activated receptors, leading to platelet activation and hemostasis

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
The role of PARs in platelet function is fairly known; however, the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood. We report that thrombin myristoylates PAR4 in mouse platelets and PAR1 and PAR4 in human platelets, facilitating their membrane transport and interaction, leading to PAR3/4 heterodimers in mice and PAR1/4 heterodimers in humans.

Short‐Term Outcomes of Full Pulpotomy Compared With Root Canal Treatment for Irreversible Pulpitis: The PROVE Study

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assimilate data from individual randomised trials and perform a pooled analysis of short‐term outcomes of pulpotomy compared with root canal treatment (RCT) for teeth with symptomatic irreversible pulpitis (SIRP). Methods Randomised trials were conducted in eight countries using a standardised clinical protocol and outcome ...
