Particle Size Effects in Au/TiO2 Catalysts for the Oxidation of 5‐Hydroxymethylfurfural

open access: yesChemCatChem, Volume 18, Issue 6, 27 March 2026.
The oxidation of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA), important for bio‐based polymer production, is an excellent model reaction to study selective oxidation performance. We investigate the gold particle size effect in the oxidation of HMF and HMFCA to FDCA.

Modeling Trophic Structure and Ecosystem Functioning of the Small Fish‐Dominated Largest Lake of Bangladesh

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 3, March 2026.
Kaptai Lake is a developing ecosystem with a linear food web and thereby vulnerable to external influences. The apex predator, Catfish (TL‐3.364), occupied the top trophic niches, while the overabundant (B: 3.264 t/km2) Clupeid (TL‐2.56) dominated the lower trophic level in the food web. The higher values of ecotrophic efficiency for most of the groups

Ultrasound and MRI Are Not Interchangeable for Measuring Muscle Cross‐Sectional Area: Analysis of Reliability and Validity in 10 Lower Limb Muscles Considering Sex Differences

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Sport Science, Volume 26, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Ultrasound‐based anatomical cross‐sectional area (US‐ACSA) measurement using extended‐field‐of‐view (EFOV) imaging offers a practical alternative to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI‐ASCA) measurements. Although its reliability and validity have previously been assessed, previous studies have focused only on a single or limited number of muscles

Enhancing Energy Efficiency and Reducing Emissions in the Textile Industry of Bangladesh: A Pathway to Sustainability

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, Volume 14, Issue 3, Page 1148-1168, March 2026.
The study shows how major energy consumption in different sectors of Bangladesh's textile industry, driven by conventional electric motors, can be reduced by adopting Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and High‐Efficiency Motors (HEM). VSDs lower energy use through speed reductions of 20%, 40%, and 60%, while HEMs improve efficiency under motor loads of 50 ...

Technological, Pedagogical, and Content Knowledge‐Universal Design for Learning‐Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Scale: Possibility to Create Inclusive Chemistry Learning

open access: yesFuture in Educational Research, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 121-137, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Inclusive chemistry learning is possible. Three frameworks that can be considered to create inclusive chemistry learning are Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
