Pressure‐Controlled Modifications in Electronic Structure, Mechanical, Thermodynamic, and Optoelectronic Attributes of Perovskite NaPaO3 for Energy‐Efficient Applications

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 15, Issue 5, May 2026.
First principle calculations are carried out first time to study the pressure‐dependent structural, thermodynamic, elastic, electronic, and optical properties of NaPaO3 perovskite oxide. Modified Becke‐Johnson (mBJ) exchange‐correlation potential provides very accurate results.

[18F] PSMA PET‐CT and [18F] Choline PET‐CT in the Diagnosis of High‐Risk Localized Prostate Cancer: Comparation of Both Tests

open access: yesThe Prostate, Volume 86, Issue 7, Page 800-804, May 15, 2026.
ABSTRACT Background To compare choline PET‐CT and PSMA PET‐CT in a cohort of patients with high‐risk localized prostate cancer, assessing the diagnostic capacity of both tests. whose therapeutic approach could be modified based on the results. Methods An observational study was conducted in 116 patients with high‐risk prostate cancer between January ...

Generation and modulation of catalytically relevant states of a dye‐decolourizing peroxidase using time‐resolved serial femtosecond crystallography with drop‐on‐chip mixing and X‐ray‐driven reduction

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section D, Volume 82, Issue 5, Page 434-445, May 2026.
We characterize the formation of a ferryl state of a dye‐decolourizing peroxidase by drop‐on‐chip serial femtosecond crystallography and also the modulation of the heme redox state using dose‐resolved serial synchrotron crystallography.Metalloenzymes containing a heme cofactor catalyse a wide range of oxidative reactions critical to life. Understanding

X‐ray Fluorescence Microscopy Computed Tomography Reveals Internal Distribution of Selenium in Hyperaccumulator Plant Seeds

open access: yesEcological Research, Volume 41, Issue 3, May 2026.
Selenium hyperaccumulators are plants able to accumulate over 1000 mg/kg in their shoots while growing in their natural environments. The distribution of selenium in the seeds of the three key hyperaccumulating species was elucidated using X‐ray fluorescence microscopy computed tomography (XFM‐CT). ABSTRACT Selenium hyperaccumulators are plants able to

Aged Gut Microbiota Induces Mucosal Transcriptional Dysregulation, Impairing Immune Surveillance

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 5, May 2026.
Aging impaired intestinal mucosal immune homeostasis by altering the epithelial barrier, lamina propria immune cells, follicle‐associated epithelium, and gut microbiota. These changes, particularly the accumulation of pro‐inflammatory bacteria in the gut microbiota, are closely associated with dysregulation of follicle‐associated epithelium gene ...
