Bu çalışmada, ülkemizde daha çok yakacak ve/veya hayvan yemi olarak kullanılan lignoselülozik gıda atıkları olan fındık kabuğu ve çay atıklarından Hidroksimetil Furfural(HMF) elde edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Ham selüloz, fındık kabuğu ve çay atıklarından TS ISO 15598'e göre elde edilmiştir.
