Structural and thermodynamic analyses of a novel β‐1,2‐glucan binding mode in the ABC transporter solute‐binding protein Chy400_4166 from Chloroflexus aurantiacus

Cyclic β‐1,2‐glucan (CβG)‐associated solute‐binding protein of type I ABC transporter was originally identified in Chloroflexus aurantiacus, a phototrophic bacterium. Crystal structures in complex with CβGs revealed unique binding modes that are fundamentally distinct from that of the short β‐1,2‐glucooligosaccharides‐binding protein.

Hokkaido, the north island of Japan, has a climate very similar to southern Ontario and uses basically the same materials for house construction as are used in Canada. It is of interest, therefore, to examine all aspects of housing in this part of Japan and to make comparisons with Canadian conditions.

Effectiveness of tirzepatide in Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes but no obesity: A sub‐analysis of Hokkaido‐TZP study data

Tirzepatide achieved significant HbA1c reduction in Japanese patients with type 2 diabetes without obesity, regardless of baseline BMI. Weight reduction was BMI‐dependent and enhanced by dietary consultations. No patient developed underweight status during the 6‐month observation period.
