Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Near‐Field Electrospinning Micro‐Printhead Achieves Precise Control of Nanofiber Deposition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A micro‐printhead for near‐field electrospinning enables reproducible deposition of polymer nanofibers with diameters below 50 nm. Systematic parameter studies uncover the mechanisms linking operating conditions to fiber morphology, paving the way for precise and low‐cost nanoscale 3D manufacturing. As a high‐resolution, cost‐effective, and rapid ...

Morrey estimates for subelliptic p-Laplace type systems with VMO coefficients in Carnot groups

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
In this article, we study estimates in Morrey spaces to the horizontal gradient of weak solutions for a class of quasilinear sub-elliptic systems of p-Laplace type with VMO coefficients under the controllable growth over Carnot group if p is not too

On Newton's method for operators with Hölder continuous derivative

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 1993
The author obtains some results concerning the convergence of Newton's method for solving operator equations in Banach spaces, when the first Fréchet-derivative of the operator involved is only Hölder continuous. In the case when the Hölder condition is a Lipschitz one, one of the theorems reduces to the Kantorovich theorem.

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Holder continuity of bounded generalized solutions for nonlinear fourth-order elliptic equations with strengthened coercivity and natural growth terms

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
In this article we extend the author's previous results on the existence of bounded generalized solutions of a Dirichlet problem for nonlinear elliptic fourth-order equations with the principal part satisfying a strengthened coercivity condition, and ...

Powder Optimization Strategies for Binder Jetting Printing of BaTiO3 and Ba0,6Sr0,4TiO3 Ceramics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Powder optimization is investigated to enable binder jetting of BaTiO3 and Ba0.6Sr0.4TiO3 ferroelectric ceramics. The antagonistic relationship between flowability and binder compatibility is addressed through binder impregnation of granulated powders and fumed silica addition to fine powders.

Evaluating Energy Absorption Performance of Filled Lattice Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Maximum stress must be considered to robustly evaluate energy absorber designs. This approach was applied to compare all types of absorbers in a single Ashby diagram and determine the utility of filling lattice voids with a second material. High‐performance fillers can improve the performance of lattices that are limited by buckling or catastrophic ...
