Improving the photovoltaic response of a poly(3-octylthiophene)/n-Si heterojunction by incorporating double-walled carbon nanotubes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Poly(3-octylthiophene)/n-Si heterojunction solar cells were studied with and without incorporation of double-walled carbon nanotubes (DWCNs) in the polymer layer. The performance of the device improves significantly by the incorporation of DWCNs.

Synthesis of high-T_g hole-transporting polymers with different redox potentials and their performance in organic two-layer LEDs [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Organic hole transport materials are used in organic LEDs, where they substantially improve device performance if placed as a hole transport layer (HTL) between the anode and the electroluminescent layer (EL).

Stimulated triplet–triplet fusion by carrier trap-detrap mechanism in organic light-emitting diodes

open access: yesJournal of Information Display, 2022
Triplet–triplet fusion (TTF) has been an efficiency-enhancing mechanism in fluorescent organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) caused by the collision of two triplet excitons.

Experimental observation of the spin-Hall effect in a two dimensional spin-orbit coupled semiconductor system [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We report the experimental observation of the spin-Hall effect in a two-dimensional (2D) hole system with Rashba spin-orbit coupling. The 2D hole layer is a part of a p-n junction light-emitting diode with a specially designed co-planar geometry which ...

Investigating the Performance of TIN-Based Perovskite Solar Cell with Zinc Selenide as an ETM and Graphene as an HTM Using SCAPS-1D [PDF]

open access: yesProgress in Physics of Applied Materials
In this study, a numerical analysis was conducted on a Sn-based planner heterojunction perovskite device. Structure of Glass/TCO/ETL/CH3NH3SnI3/HTL/Metal was performed by using the solar cell device simulator SCAPS 1D.

Photodeposited polyamorphous CuOx hole-transport layers in organic photovoltaics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Hole-selective charge transport layers are an important part of modern thin-film electronics, serving to direct electron flow and prevent leakage current. Crystalline metal-oxide hole-transport layers (HTLs) such as NiO and CuOx exhibit high performance and stability.
