Insights to Orientation Dependence of Molecular Conduction Modeled by High‐Level Quantum Embedding

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 47, Issue 17, 30 June 2026.
Quantum‐embedded transport calculations show that conductance histograms sensitively reflect molecular orientation and contact effects in single‐molecule junctions. Advanced embedding schemes improve agreement with experiment, but also expose the critical role of realistic configurational sampling.

The cooperative regulation of miR‐221 by APE1 and AUF1 impacts p27Kip1 defining a miR signature relevant for cervical cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, Volume 16, Issue 6, Page 1222-1236, June 2026.
A regulatory axis involving APE1, AUF1, and miR‐221 is proposed. Pri‐miR‐221 is processed by DROSHA and DICER to generate mature miR‐221, which targets p27Kip1 mRNA. APE1 and AUF1 compete for pre‐miR‐221 binding. Reduced APE1/AUF1 levels impair miR‐221 biogenesis, decrease p27Kip1 mRNA degradation, and promote cell cycle progression, chemoresistance ...

Determinants of Stunting, Wasting, and Underweight Among Children Under 5 Years in India: Evidence From 2019 to 2021 Demographic Health Survey

open access: yesHealth Care Science, Volume 5, Issue 3, Page 207-222, June 2026.
This study analyzes child malnutrition (stunting, wasting, underweight) among Indian children under five using 2019–21 National Family Health Survey data. Multivariate logistic regression and spatial cluster analysis were employed. Results show stunting is most prevalent. Children aged 25–36 months face highest risk.

Demonstration, validation, and application of hyperspectral microscopy for the collection of cyanobacterial spectral signatures

open access: yesLimnology and Oceanography: Methods, Volume 24, Issue 6, June 2026.
Abstract Cyanobacterial and other algal blooms are an environmental concern in waterbodies worldwide. While these blooms are a nuisance for recreational activities, they can also be harmful to human and wildlife health when the algae produce and release toxins.
