Critical Role of Polymer Gate Dielectrics on the Charge Carrier Transport in Perovskite Field‐Effect Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Charge transport in 2D tin perovskite FETs is shown to be governed by dielectric interface behavior. Polar polymer dielectrics induce dipolar disorder that localizes carriers, whereas nonpolar polymers suppress trapping and enable superior charge transport, ensuring stable and reliable transistor operation. ABSTRACT Understanding the role of interfaces

From Humans to Androids to Holograms: the Persistence of Character in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Voyager

open access: yesE-REA
Over the years, posthuman, AI-based characters have become fairly common in the Star Trek franchise, and the very question of their ontological status and of their relationship with the various human, humanoid or alien crews they work with is explored ...

A new objective quality metric for phase hologram processing

open access: yesETRI Journal, 2021
Because of its convenience and compatibility with various image processing techniques, digital image representation of holograms is generally used in digital holography, and thus, quality assessment of digital holograms is an essential issue.

Cross talk in wavelength multiplexed holographic memories [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The cross talk between wavelength-multiplexed holograms is analyzed. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is calculated for a recording schedule that places the center of each image at the null (in wavelength space) of the adjacent hologram.

XUV digital in-line holography using high-order harmonics

open access: yes, 2007
A step towards a successful implementation of timeresolved digital in-line holography with extreme ultraviolet radiation is presented. Ultrashort XUV pulses are produced as high-order harmonics of a femtosecond laser and a Schwarzschild objective is used

Modulated-grating hologram [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Optics, 1977
By means of a multiple-exposure holographic recording method, a phase-and-amplitude, off-axis hologram, which we call a modulated-grating hologram, has been synthesized from three computer-generated transmission masks. Each mask controls one fixed-phase component of the complex hologram transmittance. The basic grating is generated optically, relieving

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Image formation in microwave holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Microwave holograms are made without offset reference beam, but it has been found that Van der Lugt filter can be used to produce image offset. Also, filter permits "decoding" of holograms in contrast with usual practice of reconstructing visible-light ...

Ionic and electronic dark decay of holograms in LiNbO3:Fe crystals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
The lifetimes of nonfixed holograms in LiNbO3:Fe crystals with doping levels of 0.05, 0.138, and 0.25 wt % Fe2O3 have been measured in the temperature range from 30 to 180 °C.
