Metasurfaces in Adaptive Optics: A New Opportunity in Optical Wavefront Sensing

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Wavefront sensing constitutes a critical component of adaptive optics systems, aimed at quantitatively measuring distorted wavefronts and enabling closed‐loop correction in optical setups. Metasurfaces, as planar optical elements composed of nanoscale structures, provide exceptional freedom in modulating multiple dimensions of the light field.

Asymmetrically Nonlinear Generation of Optical Orbital Angular Momentum via Cooperation of Bragg Diffraction and Birefringent Phase Matching

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
Nonlinear orbital angular momentum (OAM) manipulation is crucial for fundamental physics and information technologies. An integrated lithium niobate platform combining Bragg diffraction and birefringent phase matching asymmetrically generates and controls second‐harmonic OAM beams, achieving a normalized conversion efficiency of 10−2 W−1 and supports a

Evidence of Nitrogen Atom Production in Surface Dielectric Barrier Discharge to Support Thin Film Deposition at Atmospheric Pressure

open access: yesPlasma Processes and Polymers, EarlyView.
A plasma reactor dedicated to enhancing thin‐film deposition at atmospheric pressure was developed. It consisted of a SDBD unit housed within a 3D‐printed resin box and driven by a homemade µs‐pulse power supply. High‐resolution OES revealed six N I lines near 820 nm, clearly evidencing the nitrogen atoms production.

Bloch–Landau–Zener Oscillations in Moiré Lattices

open access: yesFortschritte der Physik, EarlyView.
Abstract A theory of two‐dimensional Bloch–Landau–Zener (BLZ) oscillations of wavepackets in incommensurate moiré lattices under the influence of a weak linear gradient is developed. Unlike periodic systems, aperiodic lattices lack translational symmetry and therefore do not exhibit a conventional band‐gap structure.
