Rotating Gold Nanomotors for High‐Resolution Mapping of Subcellular Nanomotions

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
A nanomotor‐based method uses optically driven, rotating gold nanorods to detect nanometer‐scale cellular movements with 10 nm spatial and millisecond temporal resolution. Applied to live endothelial cells, the technique reveals subcellular mechanical activity and distinct frequency regimes, capturing transient, localized oscillations.

Phase Hologram by Acoustic Metasurfaces

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
This work has achieved a breakthrough in holographic communication, realizing phase holographic imaging. The proposed phase holographic concept overcomes the limitations of traditional amplitude holographic energy attenuation. The design of its amplitude compensation method further addresses the key challenge of phase holographic imaging clarity ...

Omnidirectional Circularly Polarized Thermal Radiation Enabled by Chiral Metasurface

open access: yesSmall Structures, EarlyView.
Designing symmetry‐broken metasurfaces with both high circular dichroism and practical manufacturability remains challenging. Here, a mid‐infrared chiral metasurface with spin‐selective absorptivity induced by localized resonance enhancement is proposed, which has strong angle‐robustness, and the net optical helicity reaches 54% of the fundamental ...

In situ monitoring of cell adhesion kinetics using label‐free optical biosensors: Evaluating anticancer potential and selectivity of natural compounds

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
The limitations of conventional techniques hinder the identification of natural compounds with anticancer potential in terms of speed, throughput, sensitivity, and capability of continuous monitoring of relevant biological effects. Novel label‐free optical biosensors represent new opportunities in the discovery of drug candidates, eliminating these ...

3D imaging of neuronal inclusions and protein aggregates in human neurodegeneration by multiscale x‐ray phase‐contrast tomography

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
x‐ray phase‐contrast tomography enabled three‐dimensional, label‐free visualization and quantification of protein aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases with isotropic submicrometer resolution. The study revealed distinct electron density patterns in Lewy bodies, Hirano bodies, granulovacuolar degeneration, and amyloid plaques, highlighting their ...

Measuring Lead Userness: Development and Validation of a Hierarchical Scale

open access: yesCreativity and Innovation Management, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Lead user theory has gained traction in both academia and practice, given that involving lead users (LUs) can yield more innovative and commercially successful products. Yet, measurement inconsistencies have hindered consensus on how to reliably assess lead userness.
