Entropy Bounds and Field Equations
For general metric theories of gravity, we compare the approach that describes/derives the field equations of gravity as a thermodynamic identity with the one which looks at them from entropy bounds.

The Cheshire Cat Principle from Holography
The Cheshire cat principle states that hadronic observables at low energy do not distinguish between hard (quark) or soft (meson) constituents. As a result, the delineation between hard/soft (bag radius) is like the Cheshire cat smile in Alice in ...

Holography in an Early Universe with Asymmetric Inflation [PDF]
We discuss the validity of the holographic principle in a $(4+n)$ dimensional universe in an asymmetric inflationary phase.Comment: The correct discussion of the holography problem in the Einstein frame has replaced a previous ...

Charge transport in 2D tin perovskite FETs is shown to be governed by dielectric interface behavior. Polar polymer dielectrics induce dipolar disorder that localizes carriers, whereas nonpolar polymers suppress trapping and enable superior charge transport, ensuring stable and reliable transistor operation. ABSTRACT Understanding the role of interfaces

We report a multifunctional tapered optical fiber integrating a conformal micro‐resistance temperature detector (µRTD) for local, real‐time thermometry during optical stimulation. The platform combines light‐delivery and temperature sensing within a minimally invasive footprint, enabling detection of sub‐degree cortical heating under representative ...

Mixed‐Functionalized Acylgermanes Result in Wavelength‐Controlled Fragmentation
Selective radical generation from PEG‐acylgermanes is achieved by controlling the used wavelength. Distinct aryl‐carbonyl units undergo wavelength‐dependent α‐cleavage, producing radicals with different reactivities. UV/Vis, TD‐DFT, and photo‐CIDNP spectroscopy confirm that small adjustments in light input directly dictate radical identity and ...

All‐Optical Reconfigurable Physical Unclonable Function for Sustainable Security
An all‐optical reconfigurable physical unclonable function (PUF) is demonstrated using plasmonic coupling–induced sintering of optically trapped gold nanoparticles, where Brownian motion serves as a robust entropy source. The resulting optical PUF exhibits high encoding density, strong resistance to modeling attacks, and practical authentication ...

Triple-Horizon Spherically Symmetric Spacetime and Holographic Principle [PDF]
We present a family of spherically symmetric spacetimes, specified by the density profile of a vacuum dark energy, which have the same global structure as the de Sitter spacetime but the reduced symmetry which leads to a time-evolving and spatially ...

One‐dimensional C4N2H14PbBr4 is shown to have a quasi‐direct electronic band structure and strongly anisotropic transport with polarized broadband emission. A GW/Bethe–Salpeter excited‐state force formalism, supported by polarized Raman and temperature‐dependent photoluminescence, identifies low–frequency Pb–Br phonons that drive ultrafast exciton self‐

The holographic principle for general backgrounds [PDF]
We aim to establish the holographic principle as a universal law, rather than a property only of static systems and special space-times. Our covariant formalism yields an upper bound on entropy which applies to both open and closed surfaces, independently of shape or location.
