Positive‐Tone Nanolithography of Antimony Trisulfide with Femtosecond Laser Wet‐Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A butyldithiocarbamic acid (BDCA) etchant is used to fabricate various micro‐ and nanoscale structures on amorphous antimony trisulfide (a‐Sb2S3) thin film via femtosecond laser etching. Numerical analysis and experimental results elucidate the patterning mechanism on gold (reflective) and quartz (transmissive) substrates.

Universal In Situ Isotope Exchange Raman Spectroscopy (IERS) Methodology for Measuring Oxygen Surface Exchange Dynamics Using a Probe Layer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bespoke multilayer thin film configuration has been designed, which overcomes the material dependency of conventional isotope exchange Raman spectroscopy (IERS). This universal IERS methodology is efficient, non‐destructive and provides additional structural information and time resolution, which can be further extended to various isotopic elements ...

Fast and Accurate Thickness Mapping of Thin Liquid Films [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
The thickness of thin liquid films is of great interest to industrial processes and life science. However, there are not appropriate quantitative experimental tools for an adequate study of film evolution in case of not-ideal conditions.

Hologrphy and holographic dark energy model

open access: yes, 2005
The holographic principle is used to discuss the holographic dark energy model. We find that the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy bound is far from saturation under certain conditions.

Joint Control of Radiated and Surface Waves via Space‐Time Coding Metasurfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A unified space‐time coding metasurface platform enables simultaneous control of radiated and surface‐confined waves across multiple harmonics. Demonstrated functionalities include multi‐frequency beam shaping; surface‐wave excitation, and hybrid multiplexing.

Modelling and Design of Holographic Optical Elements for Beam-Coupling Applications for a Range of Incident Beam Angles

open access: yesPhotonics, 2022
Theoretical modelling has been used to calculate the holographic recording beam angles required in air (at any recording wavelength) to produce a Volume Holographic Optical Element (VHOE) for any defined input and output beam angles. The approach is used

Holographic Protection of Chronology in Universes of the Godel Type [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
We analyze the structure of supersymmetric Godel-like cosmological solutions of string theory. Just as the original four-dimensional Godel universe, these solutions represent rotating, topologically trivial cosmologies with a homogeneous metric and ...

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

Coexistence and competition of ferromagnetism and p-wave superconductivity in holographic model

open access: yes, 2014
By combining a holographic p-wave superconductor model and a holographic ferromagnetism model, we study the coexistence and competition of ferromagnetism and p-wave superconductivity.
