Twisted holography

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We derive and test a novel holographic duality in the B-model topological string theory. The duality relates the B-model on certain Calabi-Yau three-folds to two-dimensional chiral algebras defined as gauged βγ systems. The duality conjecturally captures a topological sector of more familiar AdS5/CFT4 holographic dualities.

Imaging of a vibrating object by Sideband Digital Holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
We obtain quantitative measurements of the oscillation amplitude of vibrating objects by using sideband digital holography. The frequency sidebands on the light scattered by the object, shifted by n times the vibration frequency, are selectively detected

Vibration testing and analysis using holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1971
Time average holography is useful in recording steady state vibrational mode patterns. Phase relationships under steady state conditions are measured with real time holography and special phase shifting techniques.

Validating Forward Modeling and Inversions of Helioseismic Holography Measurements

open access: yes, 2018
Here we use synthetic data to explore the performance of forward models and inverse methods for helioseismic holography. Specifically, this work presents the first comprehensive test of inverse modeling for flows using lateral-vantage (deep-focus ...

RUDIMENTS OF HOLOGRAPHY [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics D, 2003
An elementary introduction to Maldacena's AdS/CFT correspondence is given, with some emphasis in the Fefferman–Graham construction. This is based on lectures given by one of us (E.A.) at the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.

Constructive holography

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We consider the collective field theory description of the singlet sector of a free and massless matrix field in d dimensions. The k-local collective fields are functions of (d − 1)k + 1 coordinates. We provide a map between the collective fields and fields in the dual gravitational theory defined on AdSd+1 spacetime.

Lifshitz holography [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 2016
In this article we review recent progress on the holographic modelling of field theories with Lifshitz symmetry. We focus in particular on the holographic dictionary for Lifshitz backgrounds - the relationship between bulk fields and boundary operators, operator correlation functions and underlying geometrical structure.

Holographic analysis of diffraction structure factors

open access: yes, 2002
We combine the theory of inside-source/inside-detector x-ray fluorescence holography and Kossel lines/x ray standing waves in kinematic approximation to directly obtain the phases of the diffraction structure factors.

Cosmic Holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A new version of holographic principle for cosmology is proposed, which dictates that particle entropy within `cosmological apparent horizon' should not exceed gravitational entropy associated with the apparent horizon.

Inflation, holography, and the choice of vacuum in de Sitter space

open access: yes, 2002
A family of de Sitter vacua introduced in hep-th/0203198 as plausible initial conditions for inflation, are discussed from the point of view of de Sitter holography. The vacua are argued to be physically acceptable and the inflationary picture provides a
