Scale holography [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2018
We present a new correspondence between a d-dimensional dynamical system and a whole family of (d+1)-dimensional systems. This new scale-holographic relation is built by the explicit introduction of a dimensionful constant which determines the size of the additional dimension.

Compression Performance Analysis of Experimental Holographic Data Coding Systems

open access: yesSensors, 2023
It is challenging to find a proper way to compress computer-generated holography (CGH) data owing to their huge data requirements and characteristics. This study proposes CGH data coding systems with high-efficiency video coding (HEVC), three-dimensional

Information paradox and its resolution in de Sitter holography [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2021
We formulate a version of the information paradox in de Sitter spacetime and show that it is solved by the emergence of entanglement islands in the context of the DS/dS correspondence; in particular, the entanglement entropy of a subregion obeys a time ...

Interstellar holography [PDF]

open access: yesMonthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society, 2008
The dynamic spectrum of a radio pulsar is an in-line digital hologram of the ionized interstellar medium. It has previously been demonstrated that such holograms permit image reconstruction, in the sense that one can determine an approximation to the complex electric field values as a function of Doppler shift and delay, but to date the quality of the ...

Conoscopic holography [PDF]

open access: yesOptics Letters, 1985
A new method for recording holograms using incoherent light is described. The method is based on optical propagation through birefringent crystals. Optical methods for the reconstruction of such a hologram are also presented.

Anti-de Sitter space and holography [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Recently, it has been proposed by Maldacena that large $N$ limits of certain conformal field theories in $d$ dimensions can be described in terms of supergravity (and string theory) on the product of $d+1$-dimensional $AdS$ space with a compact manifold.

Thermodynamic holography [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2015
AbstractThe holographic principle states that the information about a volume of a system is encoded on the boundary surface of the volume. Holography appears in many branches of physics, such as optics, electromagnetism, many-body physics, quantum gravity and string theory. Here we show that holography is also an underlying principle in thermodynamics,

Recent Advances in Imaging of Light Propagation with Light-in-Flight Recording by Holography

open access: yesUltrafast Science, 2023
In the last few decades, there have been several advances in ultrafast imaging of light propagation with light-in-flight recording by holography (LIF holography), which can capture light propagation as a motion picture with a single shot in principle ...

Codimension-n Holography for Cones [PDF]

open access: yesPhys.Rev.D 104 (2021) 8, 086031, 2021
We propose a novel codimension-n holography, called cone holography, between a gravitational theory in $(d+1)$-dimensional conical spacetime and a CFT on the $(d+1-n)$-dimensional defects. Similar to wedge holography, the cone holography can be obtained by taking the zero-volume limit of holographic defect CFT.
