Since its invention, holography has been mostly applied at visible wavelengths in a variety of applications. Specifically, non-destructive testing of manufactured objects was a driver for developing holographic methods and all related ones based on the ...

We study a topological field theory in four dimensions on a manifold with boundary. A bulk-boundary interaction is introduced through a novel variational principle rather than explicitly. Through this scheme we find that the boundary values of the bulk fields act as external sources for the boundary theory.

Recent advances in multi-dimensional metasurfaces holographic technologies
Holography has attracted tremendous interest due to its capability of storing both the amplitude and phase of light field and reproducing vivid three-dimensional scenes. However, the large pixel size, low resolution, small field-of-view (FOV) and limited

We present a new correspondence between a d-dimensional dynamical system and a whole family of (d+1)-dimensional systems. This new scale-holographic relation is built by the explicit introduction of a dimensionful constant which determines the size of the additional dimension.

Robust Holographic Reconstruction by Deep Learning with One Frame
A robust method is proposed to reconstruct images with only one hologram in digital holography by introducing a deep learning (DL) network. The U-net neural network is designed according to DL principles and trained by the image data set collected using ...

Holostereosynthesis: An Improvement to Louis Lumière’s Photostereosynthesis Technique
In 1920, Louis Lumière, one of the fathers of Cinématograph, invented photostereosynthesis, a photography technique that could recreate three-dimensional images without a specific artifice.
