Holographic Cosmology and its Relevant Degrees of Freedom [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
We reconsider the options for cosmological holography. We suggest that a global and time--symmetric version of the Fischler-Susskind bound is the most natural generalization of the holographic bound encountered in AdS and De Sitter space.

Electron–Matter Interactions During Electron Beam Nanopatterning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This article reviews the electron–matter interactions important to nanopatterning with electron beam lithography (EBL). Electron–matter interactions, including secondary electron generation routes, polymer radiolysis, and electron beam induced charging, are discussed.

Resolution Enhancement of Geometric Phase Self-Interference Incoherent Digital Holography Using Synthetic Aperture

open access: yesPhotonics
Incoherent digital holography is a promising solution for acquiring three-dimensional information in the form of interference without a laser. Self-interference is the principal phenomenon of incoherent holography which splits the incident light wave ...

Holographic analysis of diffraction structure factors

open access: yes, 2002
We combine the theory of inside-source/inside-detector x-ray fluorescence holography and Kossel lines/x ray standing waves in kinematic approximation to directly obtain the phases of the diffraction structure factors.

Holography and Coherent Diffraction with Low-Energy Electrons: A Route towards Structural Biology at the Single Molecule Level [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The current state of the art in structural biology is led by NMR, X-ray crystallography and TEM investigations. These powerful tools however all rely on averaging over a large ensemble of molecules.

Twisted holography

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
Abstract We derive and test a novel holographic duality in the B-model topological string theory. The duality relates the B-model on certain Calabi-Yau three-folds to two-dimensional chiral algebras defined as gauged βγ systems. The duality conjecturally captures a topological sector of more familiar AdS5/CFT4 holographic dualities.

Conifold holography [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2003
We examine the extension of the Klebanov-Witten gauge/gravity correspondence away from the low-energy conformal limit, to a duality involving the full, asymptotically Ricci-flat background describing three-branes on the conifold. After a discussion of the nature of this duality at the string theory level (prior to taking any limits), we concentrate on ...

Recomposable Layered Metasurfaces for Wavelength‐Multiplexed Optical Encryption via Modular Diffractive Deep Neural Networks

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Modular diffractive deep neural network metasurfaces encode and reconstruct holograms across layer combinations and wavelengths, enabling secure, multifunctional operation. Each layer acts independently yet composes jointly, yielding up to m(2N −1) channels for m wavelengths and N layers.

Vectorial-Holography metasurface empowered by Orthogonality-Simplified Machine learning

open access: yesMaterials & Design, 2022
Metasurfaces can provide unprecedented degree of freedom in manipulating electromagnetic waves and have been introduced to holography. Aiming to explore the full capability for information presentation, vectorial metasurface holography is sprung up ...

Validating Forward Modeling and Inversions of Helioseismic Holography Measurements

open access: yes, 2018
Here we use synthetic data to explore the performance of forward models and inverse methods for helioseismic holography. Specifically, this work presents the first comprehensive test of inverse modeling for flows using lateral-vantage (deep-focus ...
