Tubular Adenoma Pyloric-Gland Type in a Cow

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Veterinary Pathology, 2020
The paper describes a typical Pyloric-Gland Type Tubular Adenoma founded in a 7 years old holstein cow. At necropsy, macroscopic examination showed a pedunculated polypoid formation measuring 4.0 cm in its largest diameter in the mucous membrane of the ...

Bio-Economic Comparison of Pure Holstein, Simmental × Holstein, and Montbéliarde × Holstein Crossbred Dairy Cows

open access: yesAnimals
The economic performance of Holstein, Montbéliarde × Holstein, and Simmental × Holstein cows was evaluated using a bio-economic model. The results showed differences in income and costs between crossbred and pure Holstein groups. The Montbéliarde–Holstein crossbreds had the highest milk income ($2223) and profitability ($1002) compared to the Simmental

A 3D Human Bone and Bone Marrow‐on‐a‐Chip Model for In Vitro Bone Remodeling and Immune Cell Maintenance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a human Bone (and Bone Marrow)‐on‐a‐Chip model based on native human bone scaffolds and autologous cells. Dynamic perfusion and sequential cell seeding replicate the physiological bone remodeling process in vitro, enabling the long‐term culture of functional, mature bone marrow immune subpopulations.

Hyperpolarization of [1‐13C]Ketoisocaproate‐d2 by Reversible Exchange with Parahydrogen Enables Profiling of Branched‐Chain‐Amino‐Acid Metabolism in Cellulo and in Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report the fast generation of biocompatible solutions of highly 13C‐hyperpolarized (≈11%) partially‐deuterated ketoisocaproate within <6 min using spin‐lock‐induced crossing and reversible exchange with parahydrogen (SLIC‐SABRE). This enables rapid detection of branched‐chain‐amino‐acid transferase 1 (BCAT1) protein expression and investigation of ...

Plaid‐Like Spin Splitting and Chirality of Magnon Bands in Antiferromagnetic MnTe2

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Helicity‐ and angle‐resolved Raman spectroscopy reveals chiral magnons in the non‐coplanar antiferromagnet MnTe 2. Combined with first‐principles calculations and spin‐wave theory, the results establish its altermagnetic character through circular Raman dichroism, reduced rotational symmetry, and a distinctive plaid‐like momentum‐space magnon spin ...

Membrane‐Active Peptide Protects Against Inflammation by Targeting NLRP3 Activation at the Trans‐Golgi Network

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The membrane‐active peptide Pep19‐2.5 reduces harmful inflammation by blocking activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome at trans‐Golgi network membranes. By targeting key membrane interactions, Pep19‐2.5 suppresses inflammatory IL‐1β production and alleviates allergic airway inflammation in mice, leading to reduced immune cell infiltration and improved ...

Searching of Pregnancy Rate in Repeat Breeder Cows by Embryo Transfer Practices

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Sciences, 2021
The aim of this study is to compare the pregnancy rates by applying embryo transfer to the cows which are not pregnant and should be removed from herd as repeat breeder. In this study, 87 randomlyselected Holstein cows utilized.

Intrinsic Phonons as a Dynamic Control Knob for Catalytic Reactivity in 2D Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Intrinsic phonon excitations are demonstrated to serve as a dynamic control knob for catalytic reactivity in 2D materials. Mode‐selective lattice vibrations reconstruct the electronic structure, lower oxygen evolution reaction barriers, establishing a phonon‐engineering paradigm for dynamically regulating electrocatalysis beyond conventional static ...

Livestock Multi‐Omics Integration: A Systematic Framework From Statistical Association to Causal Interpretation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A three‐tier livestock multi‐omics framework resolves four typical analytical pitfalls. Moving from statistical association through machine learning preprocessing to triple‐modal causal inference, it converts omics results into genomic selection and gene editing strategies to achieve One Health, underpinned by multi‐omics data, multimodal sequencing ...

Effects of β- and κ-casein, and β-lactoglobulin single and composite genotypes on milk composition and milk coagulation properties of Italian Holsteins assessed by FT-MIR

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science, 2021
The present study aimed to investigate the effect of β- and κ- casein, and β-lactoglobulin genotypes on milk composition and milk coagulation properties predicted using Fourier-transform mid-infrared spectroscopy (FT-MIR).
