To the Question of an Ethics of Bible Translation: Some Reflections in Relation to Septuagint Isaiah 6:1 and 19:25

open access: yesOld Testament Essays, 2019
The essay discusses two texts from Septuagint Isaiah—6:1 and 19:25—in dialogue with some concerns of recent discourses of Bible translation ethics. The main focus of the essay is the question of a translation’s “loyalty” vis-à-vis source text, target ...

Comparison of Spatio‐Temporal Dispersion Electrogram Ablation and Low Voltage Zone Ablation in Patients With Persistent Atrial Fibrillation

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1837-1845, August 2026.
This study compared STDE‐guided versus LVZ‐guided ablation beyond PVI in 107 persistent AF patients. At 24 months, the AF‐free survival rate was significantly higher in the STDE group (76.3% vs. 58.4%, p=0.027). STDE ablation independently reduced recurrence risk (HR: 0.29, p=0.004), providing superior clinical efficacy over LVZ ablation.

Holter monitoring.

open access: yesCanadian family physician Medecin de famille canadien, 2013
Twenty-four hour electrocardiographic (Holter) monitoring has been adopted in primary care for the assessment of patients with suspected cardiac arrhythmias. This article examines the clinical use of the Holter monitoring technique, outlines the range of arrhythmias recorded in healthy adults, and evaluates the merit of the investigation in a primary ...

PVC Variability and Impact on Meeting Expert Consensus Cutoffs of ≥ 10 000 PVCs/Day and ≥ 15% PVCs

open access: yesJournal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, Volume 37, Issue 8, Page 1817-1827, August 2026.
14‐day Zio® (iRhythm) datasets of 606 patients between December 2018 and January 2019 who had at least one day of ≥10,000 PVCs were acquired. Of these patients, a subcohort of 325 patients who had at least one day of ≥15% PVCs was generated. In both groups, analyses were carried out showing that longer duration monitoring increased sensitivity for ...

Enhanced Risk Stratification of Atrial Fibrillation Detected After Ischemic Stroke and TIA: The Role of Apnoea–Hypopnoea Index and Hypoxic Burden—A Study From the Bern Sleep‐Stroke Registry

open access: yesJournal of Sleep Research, Volume 35, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Sleep‐disordered breathing is an independent risk factor for stroke and atrial fibrillation. Accurate assessment of atrial fibrillation in stroke patients with sleep‐disordered breathing is crucial for secondary prevention. This study aimed to determine whether combining apnoea–hypopnoea index and hypoxic burden improves risk stratification ...

Modified Anatomical Ablation Strategy for Mitral Isthmus

open access: yesPacing and Clinical Electrophysiology, Volume 49, Issue 8, Page 1159-1167, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Durable mitral isthmus (MI) block remains challenging in persistent atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation. Ethanol infusion into the vein of Marshall (EI‐VOM) enhances efficacy, but the minimal endocardial ablation extent post‐EI‐VOM is undefined.
