Dimethyl Fumarate, But Not Rituximab, Reduces Serum GFAP Levels and PIRMA in Relapsing–Remitting MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Serum neurofilament light chain (sNfL) and glial fibrillary acidic protein (sGFAP) levels are believed to reflect mainly acute and chronic disease processes in multiple sclerosis (MS), respectively. In this study, we investigated whether dimethyl fumarate (DMF) and rituximab (RTX) differentially affect these biomarkers.

From Solution to Surface: How the Catalytic Environment Modulates Peptide Bond Cleavage by Metal‐Oxo Cluster Nanozymes

open access: yesAdvanced Science
Nanozymes that selectively cleave proteins offer a promising alternative to natural proteases due to their superior stability, tunability, and scalability. However, they are either water‐soluble, preventing efficient recovery and limiting their practical

Kinetic analysis of homogeneous catalytic reactions

open access: yes, 2012
Reaction progress kinetic analysis (RPKA) is a powerful tool for determining kinetic parameters of catalytic reactions. Many of the published articles that have used RPKA have employed reaction calorimetry for obtaining sufficient data to be reliable ...

Early Clinical, Imaging, and Pathological Characteristics of SRPK3/TTN‐Digenic Myopathy

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy was recently established as a skeletal muscle myopathy caused by digenic inheritance. This study characterizes the early clinical presentation of SRPK3/TTN‐digenic myopathy in one previously reported and seven newly identified pediatric patients.

The kernel of a homogeneous derivation of k [X, Y]

open access: yes, 1998
Let k be an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero, δ a homogeneous derivation of k [X, Y]. We give a crtierion for the existence of a non-constant polynomial F such that δ(F)=0.departmental bulletin ...

On the geometry of certain periodic non-homogeneous Horadam sequences.

open access: yes, 2016
Horadam sequences are second-order recurrences depending on a family of four complex parameters: two initial conditions and two recurrence coefficients.

Association Between Motor Pathway Damage and Motor Deficit in Upper and Lower Limb in People With MS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Corticospinal tract damage is common in people with MS, but the degree of clinical symptoms varies. We hypothesize that corticospinal tract lesions are more extensive and severe in people with MS with motor impairments in both upper and lower limbs.

Sex‐Stratified Association of Regional Dopamine Transporter Binding With Disease Progression in Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To clarify the clinical relevance of dopamine transporter single‐photon emission computed tomography (DAT‐SPECT) abnormalities in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), with a prespecified focus on sex‐stratified associations with disease progression and short‐term prognosis.

Homogenization of a non-homogeneous fluid

open access: yes, 2018
We consider a non--homogeneous incompressible and heat conducting fluid confined to a 3D domain perforated by tiny holes. The ratio of the diameter of the holes and their mutual distance is critical, the former being equal to $ε^3$, the latter proportional to $ε$, where $ε$ is a small parameter.
