Meander‐Bend Erosion Dynamics Along a Gravel‐Bed River: Insights From Short‐Term UAV Monitoring
ABSTRACT Riverbank erosion is a natural process in meandering rivers that contributes to sediment supply and geomorphic diversity, yet it can threaten infrastructure and human activities within the floodplain. Recently, many studies have used high‐resolution remote sensing technologies to measure bank erosion, but they often focus on technical aspects ...

Liouville solution in General Relativity with a scalar field
New one parameter family of exact solutions in General Relativity with a scalar field has been found. The metric is of Liouville type which admits complete separation of variables in the geodesic Hamilton–Jacobi equation.

Homogeneous geodesics in homogeneous Finsler spaces
In this paper, we study homogeneous geodesics in homogeneous Finsler spaces. We first give a simple criterion that characterizes geodesic vectors. We show that the geodesics on a Lie group, relative to a bi-invariant Finsler metric, are the cosets of the one-parameter subgroups.

Minimal Immersions of Kahler manifolds into Euclidean Spaces [PDF]
It is proved here that a minimal isometric immersion of a Kähler-Einstein or homogeneous Kähler-manifold into an Euclidean space must be totally ...

ABSTRACT This study examines the role of social capital in designing and implementing more effective governance strategies to improve the state of the Tagus River's significantly deteriorated middle reach (Spain). We employed social network analysis (SNA) to evaluate the bonding, bridging and linking social capital and the quality of stakeholder ...

Study of complexity factor and stability of dynamical systems in $$f(\mathcal {G})$$ f ( G ) gravity
In this paper, we evaluate the complexity of the non static cylindrical geometry with anisotropic matter configuration in the framework of modified Gauss–Bonnet theory.

Quasi-Uniform Density Non-Solid Infill Strategy for Axisymmetric Non-Planar Additive Manufacturing
Non-solid infill generation in Non-Planar Additive Manufacturing (NPAM) is still an open problem. This is due to mathematical complexities from curvature distortion, as well as bridging limitations inherent in some NPAM processes.

Hurricane‐induced risk contagion in commercial real estate: Evidence from Hurricane Sandy
Abstract This study examines how hurricane‐induced destruction affects the prices of nearby undamaged commercial real estate properties, using Hurricane Sandy as a natural experiment. Using Real Capital Analytics transaction records spatially merged with Federal Emergency Management Agency building‐level damage data, we empirically employ a difference ...

Homogeneous Structures and Homogeneous Geodesics of the Hyperbolic Oscillator Group
In this paper, we study some homogeneity properties of a semi-direct extension of the Heisenberg group, known in literature as the hyperbolic oscillator (or Boidol) group, equipped with the left-invariant metrics corresponding to the ones of the oscillator group.

The existence of light‐like homogeneous geodesics in homogeneous Lorentzian manifolds [PDF]
In previous papers, a fundamental affine method for studying homogeneous geodesics was developed. Using this method and elementary differential topology it was proved that any homogeneous affine manifold and in particular any homogeneous pseudo‐Riemannian manifold admits a homogeneous geodesic through arbitrary point.
