A thermodynamic switch for chromosome colocalization [PDF]
A general model for the early recognition and colocalization of homologous DNA sequences is proposed. We show, on a thermodynamic ground, how the distance between two homologous DNA sequences is spontaneously regulated by the concentration and affinity of diffusible mediators binding them, which act as a switch between two phases corresponding to ...

Exosome‐based nanoparticles (GC‐Exo‐CD16Ab) are designed to deliver glucocorticoids (GC) specifically to decidual CD16+ NK cells and macrophages. This targeted delivery effectively suppresses the cytotoxicity of decidual NK cells, inhibits M1 macrophage polarization, and modulates the decidual microenvironment.

Investigation of marmoset hybrids (Cebuella pygmaea x Callithrix jacchus) and related Callitrichinae (Platyrrhini) by cross-species chromosome painting and comparative genomic hybridization [PDF]
We report on the cytogenetics of twin offspring from an interspecies cross in marmosets (Callitrichinae, Platyrrhini), resulting from a pairing between a female Common marmoset (Callithrix jacchus, 2n = 46) and a male Pygmy marmoset (Cebuella pygmaea, 2n

Hypothesis: Homologous recombination depends on parallel search [PDF]
It is not known how a cell manages to find a specific DNA sequence sufficiently fast to repair a broken chromosome through homologous recombination. I propose that the solution is based on a parallelized search implemented by freely diffusing molecules programmed with sequences corresponding to those flanking the break site.

Developing Quorum Sensing‐Based Collaborative Dynamic Control System in Halomonas TD01
A standardized and streamlined inducer‐free quorum sensing (QS)‐based collaborative dynamic control pattern is developed for sufficient gene expression control in Halomonas TD by mixing two engineered cells, cells A and B. Proof‐of‐concept studies are designed to test the dynamic control performance in mixed cultures in fed‐batch conditions.

Overview of the Genetic Deafness Commons (GDC), integrating data from the Chinese Deafness Genetics Consortium (CDGC) and 51 public databases. The GDC provides tools for variant search, functional predictions, and gene‐disease visualization, offering insights into 201 hearing loss genes and facilitating novel gene discovery and clinical applications ...

A pivotal-differential evolution pattern is when two allopolyploids share a common genome, which is called pivotal, and differ with respect to the other genome or genomes, called differential.

A critical aspect of chromosomal remodeling in small molecule‐induced multilineage trans‐differentiation(iMT) is elucidated. A dynamic atlas spanning over 35 days profiles terminal trans‐differentiated cells, which reverted to a more youthful state. This study reveals parallels between iMT and other cell fate determination processes, emphasizing an ...

Abstract Clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats‐associated protein (CRISPR/Cas9), an adaptive microbial immune system, has been exploited as a robust, accurate, efficient and programmable method for genome targeting and editing. This innovative and revolutionary technique can play a significant role in animal modeling, in vivo genome
