Covering homology

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 2010
We introduce the notion of "covering homology" of a commutative ring spectrum with respect to certain families of coverings of topological spaces. The construction of covering homology is extracted from Bokstedt, Hsiang and Madsen's topological cyclic homology.

Deteksi dan Identifikasi Nematoda Puru Akar (Meloidogyne spp.) pada Tanaman Bit Menggunakan Metode DNA Barcoding

open access: yesJurnal Fitopatologi Indonesia, 2020
Identifikasi nematoda berdasarkan karakter morfologi memerluan ketelitian tinggi dan perlu didukung hasil identifikasi secara molekuler. Salah satu metode identifikasi molekuler ialah dengan DNA barcode.

Between utopia and tragedy: the convergence of Faustian motif of “homunculus” and the key images of the novel “Doctor Zhivago” by B. Pasternak

open access: yesНеофилология, 2023
The purpose of study is to identify the semantic and figurative parallels of the second part of Goethe’s “Faust” and B.L. Pasternak’s novel “Doctor Zhivago”.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

The lipase gene family

open access: yesJournal of Lipid Research, 2002
Development of the lipase gene family spans the change in science that witnessed the birth of contemporary techniques of molecular biology. Amino acid sequencing of enzymes gave way to cDNA cloning and gene organization, augmented by in vitro expression ...

Homological thickness and stability of torus knots

open access: yes, 2006
In this paper we show that the non-alternating torus knots are homologically thick, i.e. that their Khovanov homology occupies at least three diagonals. Furthermore, we show that we can reduce the number of full twists of the torus knot without changing ...

Homological properties of persistent homology

open access: yesJournal of Algebra and Its Applications
In this paper, we investigate to what extent persistent homology benefits from the properties of a homology theory. We show that persistent homology benefits from a Mayer–Vietoris sequence and a long exact sequence for a pair if one works with graded persistence modules.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

The establishment of a GPD1L knockout human embryonic stem cell line (WAe009-A-80) using the CRISPR/Cas9 system

open access: yesStem Cell Research
The GPD1L gene is located on 3p22.3. It encodes the glycerol phosphate dehydrogenase 1-like protein with homology to glycerol phosphate dehydrogenase (GPD1L), but the function of this enzyme is unclear.
