Monopole Floer homology for rational homology 3-spheres
We give a new construction of monopole Floer homology for spin-c rational homology 3-spheres. As applications we define two invariants of certain smooth compact 4-manifolds with b_1=1 and b^+=0.Comment: 60 pages, to appear in Duke J. Math.

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Eilenberg swindles and higher large scale homology of products of trees
We show that uniformly finite homology of products of $n$ trees vanishes in all degrees except degree $n$, where it is infinite dimensional. Our method is geometric and applies to several large scale homology theories, including almost equivariant ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Structural characterization and hypolipidemic activity of polysaccharides from finger citron
In this study, the structural characterization and hypolipidemic activity in vivo of finger citron polysaccharide (FCP) were investigated. The FCP consisted of [→t)-Ara(f)-(1→], [→5)-Ara(f)-(1→], and [→4)-Gal(p)-UA-(1→] with the molecular weight of 46.35

Isolation of CYP72A154, a gene involved in glycyrrhizin biosynthesis pathway, in Glycyrrhiza glabra L. (Iranian licorice) [PDF]
Background: Cytochrome P450s have essential roles in oxidative reactions during the biosynthesis of secondary metabolites, such as terpenoids. Objective: This research was aimed to identify the gene CYP72A154 as a gene involved in the glycyrrhizin ...

Instanton Floer homology for two-component links
For any link of two components in an integral homology sphere, we define an instanton Floer homology whose Euler characteristic is the linking number between the components of the link.
